Over the top, but so funny!
jloring76415 September 2015
Yes, this episode was over the top... WAY over the top. Definitely not for children or the "weak of stomach". I sat dumbfounded as the story unfolded, and amazed how this got past the censors. That being said, I also laughed my rear end off at the antics of Stewie and Brian as they waded through the difficulties of pregnancy, ridiculous as it was. The scene at the doctor's office was hysterical, as was the trip to the park.

However, I do understand how some viewers could be offended by the nature of the storyline. To say the concept was in bad taste is an understatement... but bad taste is what Family Guy is all about. One can shake their head while viewing and offer derogatory comments, but the fact remains that MacFarlane has pushed his form of comedy to the limits... and for me, it works.

My Guilty Pleasure Episode
adog200111 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Okay, even though I am giving this episode an 7 out of 10, I am doing that because I enjoyed how bad this episode was. This episode was a so bad it's good Family Guy episode in my opinion. I found this episode so hilarious because this plot was so messed up. The fact Stewie impregnates himself with Brian's DNA was messed up, and even the fact Stewie, a MALE baby, got pregnant is messed up. The scene that made me laugh most was the photoshoot scene where Brian looks awkward as hell while Stewie is so into it. And the half-human half-dog babies were so weird looking other than Finn, the one who looks like Brian but with Stewie's skin and hair and Brian's facial features. The other plot was very meh in my opinion. I did like the idea of Peter and his friends try to make a viral video but fails to get views unlike other videos shown on the news. However, how it was done was kinda boring. I will say I did like the video Peter did where he took pictures of himself and get sleep deprivation due to an alien haunting him. The main thing I didn't like about the episode were the facts that the babies were deformed in a way. One's bones were loose, another was blind, and another one is deaf, and those three die. And at the end SPOILER ALERT: the half-human half-dog babies were put up for adoption. But it could have ended worse in my opinion because they could have killed the babies instead and I would have been pissed. Once again, I give this episode a 7 because it is a guilty pleasure episode because I enjoyed how messed up it was with the Stewie plot, but I took a few points off because of the ending and the Peter plot was very meh for me.

I don't even...ugh...

Warning: Spoilers
This is the worst family guy episode i have ever watched in my life. The part where Stewie gets pregnant is so disturbing and not even funny at all. Then there comes the photo session, the images of a pregnant toddler all over the screen and Brian looking completely disgusted (for obvious reasons). But the worst part of all: seeing those human-dog-babies JUST CREEPED ME OUT! And then there's Peter and his group trying to make a viral video and no one is even aware of the whole situation between Stewie and Brian as usual. I'm done watching family guy after this episode. It has disappointed me in a way no other show has before.

what has happened to this show?
jnc899923 October 2016
Warning: Spoilers
This is by far the worst episode the show has ever done with it's disturbing plot, character derailment, and rancid imagery, This episode makes Herpe the Love Sore look like Road to Rhode Island. So what happens is Stewie is concerned when Brian starts to avoid him, while seeing Joe and Bonnie play with their baby Susie he gets the idea to have a baby with Brian. After taking Brian's DNA and injecting himself with it he gives birth to hideous human/dog hybrids, Meanwhile Peter and the guys decide to make a viral video in the lackluster sub-plot. As a die-hard Family Guy fan I despised this episode and if you binge watch this season skip this crap hole of a episode.

What Do People Want?
scriibe7 June 2015
For ages, people have complained "Family Guy isn't as edgy or as gutsy as in its early seasons". Finally comes an episode that recaptures the show's early weirdness, and people complain "It's too disturbing." What do you people want? Perhaps too many years of more traditional, "safer" sitcoms like "Bob's Burgers" and "Brooklyn 99" have softened viewers sensibilities. The stupid dropping of American Dad (Fox's loss, TBS's gain) shows Fox's dislike of "in your face" shows (and AD was typically more edgy and innovative than FG, anyway)

Yes, "Stewie is Enceinte" is a weird episode. It is also gutsy and funny, and Brian and Stewie's "puppies" are hilarious. Not to every taste, but when has Family Guy ever been that?

Disturbing and awful episode!
joonas1349 March 2015
Season 13 is not that good, what I expected from now on, they still keep the same slow, awful pace at writing, it's just gone lazy. In my opinion I can make this show quality better if I would be one of the writers in this show and latest episodes, proves it! God, what an awful and smack to the face episode. I know that Family Guy is not everyone's show, but dear god, this episode was one of the worst easily, like there is no jokes at all and the script is just disturbing and nauseating.

Everything goes wrong, when stewie knows that "I can only make Brian even closer if we have a baby together to raise. Well.. this is the part where Stewie takes Brian's DNA and transform it him itself and then next morning "Stewie is pregnant" SAY AGAIN? WHAT? Baby stewie is pregnant riiight... and I just hoped this episode can get any worse. Well.. after stewie and brian is driving to the hospital suddenly stewie "water broke" and it's time to birth, I was ugh and glad that "Scene with disgusting things happening and camera view is outside of car, little censoring included without brown splashes" Are writers gone insane or just downright sick to the stomach. I never expected this bad episode EVER. Well in Family Guy everything is possible and this is one of the disturbing and creepiest episodes they ever aired and should be banned.

Jokes are zero in this episode easily, it was hard to watch whole episode and I can take pretty much everything, but this proves Family Guy quality is gone for a while now.

I hope next episode, they deliver, because this was weak try. Ugh.

Outrageous and utterly hilarious
tedfitzd10 March 2015
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was, as the other reviews have mentioned, a complete break from previous episodes and really pushed themselves towards the "line".

It is definitely the case that some people will find this more coarse and distasteful brand of humor not to their liking, and I can understand that. However, as someone who enjoys a mixture of slapstick, crude and rude humour (as well as the more civilized humour of earlier episodes) I really enjoyed this episode.

I would liken this episode to the kind of thing you could expect from south park, but with the family guy vibe still strong, and personally, I really hope for more of this kind of episode in the future.

what stewie is this?
dammyaa-962939 March 2015
This episode of family guy was awfully written, disturbingly revolting and moreover, just plain boring. i remembered when stewie was hell bent on world domination and doesn't take nonsense from anybody. Now, he is one of the most sexualized characters on TV even though he is just a baby. i know it is only cartoon and all, but how can a baby be so needy that the only way to solve his loneliness problem is by having a baby with a talking dog. i mean come on writers of family guy, if this is the crap you are feeding people, then i don't see the reason why it should even be on air. i used to be a super fan of family guy, but now am not. am moving on to shows that actually give a damn about what it's audience wants. i only gave one because there is no zero option. My wording might be harsh, but i believe most people feel the same way.

What a joke of a Cartoon! Family guy is idiotic
hcallum1 February 2019
Really disappointed that they didn't receive more negative reviews and criticism on this episode. Is disgusting and absolutely stupid.

I do have a soft spot for earlier Family Guy, but this is a complete lack of material it's absolutely stupid and completely disrespectful.

It's a cartoon, but seriously what was the whole point of that episode. A baby having dog babies which doesn't make sense because the idiotic English wannabe baby would die from having such a ridiculous situation happen to him. Lol just don't watch this garbage. What a joke!!!

Family Guy sucks and it's just a poor excuse to make new material.

Whoever said "THIS SHOW NEEDS TO BE MORE EDGY..........."
Reckno6426 March 2020
No. NOOOOOO. Nobody wanted Family Guy to be "more edgy". That was EXACTLY what was wrong with the show initially, and this episode is further proof. It's not funny, it's not clever. It's just shocking and revolting.

You won't find any enjoyment in this episode.....

Just when you thought they couldn't push the boundaries further, they did.
Sleepin_Dragon18 October 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Peter, Quagmire, Cleveland and Joe set about trying to create a viral video, unsuccessfully. While Stewie, aware of a distance coming between him and Brian decides the only way to bring the pair closer together is to have a baby, so he pinches Brian's DNA, creates a fertility machine and impregnates himself.

I have to be honest, this is one of the funniest episodes I've seen in years, sure it's utterly bonkers, ridiculous, and bound to offend some, but that's what the show's been doing for years. Some moments, including the deliveries, the photo shoot and the park are utterly hilarious. It's possibly the most preposterous script of all time, I love Family Guy when it's surreal, this one's off the scale.

Surreal, utterly ridiculous, but totally hilarious. 9/10

Disgusting

Warning: Spoilers
No thought was given writing this episode. I like all the dark humour and all politically incorrect jokes but this episode was just too much... I mean i felt like that the episode must be an hour long it was so hard watching it i was rooting it finish.. not at all funny.. just cringe... The Stewie being pregnant was so cringe i was waiting for meg to appear... Yeah you read it right😂 rooting for it to be a Meg episode... you always imagine Brian to be a smart guy so i was like this must be a 2 min joke and Brian would do something to abort those babies... Cringing just by writing..... But Brian didn't do anything and that felt kinda odd not like Brian to be a Father.

A breath of fresh air-Like the good 'ol episodes
charliejohnson-799637 August 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Hi!

I certainly agree with some of the people above me!

How can you say this episode is disturbing or revolting?

If you don't like this type of thing then Family Guy just simply isn't for you. The Weirdness is simply just a part of the show. It always has been.

But this definitely is a breath of fresh air! Just like the peculiar episodes you would find in earlier seasons that made them great. This is the type of episode I like. Just simple, weird and hilarious.

I enjoyed this thoroughly, just like I do whenever the main plot of an episode revolves around Brian and Stewie!

Bien! :) ;)

This Is Vile
rupaulsfrackingcrew27 November 2022
This was genuinely the worst thing I have ever watched, and I watch Rick and Morty. I watched this episode and despite reading the premise, I was somehow still shocked. Whatever conclusion I expected it to come to, I was simply not prepared. I did not know the limits of human imagination encompassed whatever this was. I just don't understand why someone would think of this, think it was good enough to write down, show it to a whole board of writers who also thought it was good enough to be turned into a script, and for everybody else to think the script was good enough to storyboard, voice act and animate. I don't understand why anyone would agree to putting their name on this. This is trash, this is vile, why was it put out, *birthed* if you will, into this world? I sincerely hope everyone involved and everyone who enjoyed this takes a long look into the mirror and asks, "What went wrong? What led to this moment in my life?". If this is comedy, I never want to laugh again.

Baby pregnancy..

Absolutely disgusting where was the joke in this? I'm recently watching family guy And it's only good season 1-6, mostly 1-4 since 5 it's gotten a bit stale but with some good moments, but 7 is bad don't get me started. Ever since family guy reached double digits it's went downhill, this is where the fall of family guy started guys.

I didn't find this as bad as the general consensus are making it seem!
10086cn28 August 2019
I watched this episode and after all of it, I still have no idea why so many people hate this episode. In a way, I actually kinda really enjoyed it! Despite all the 1-star reviews of this episode, it's pretty good! The concept of Stewie and Brian having children was just quite something that intigued me and I'm glad I watched this episode!

I guess from now onwards, whenever I'm about to watch something, I will skip reading reviews. You never know, you might enjoy something that so many others (at least how it looks) doesn't, and it shows with something like this situation!

One of the Worst Pieces of Animation that I've, ever, SEEN, FOR, REAL!!!!
josephemmanuelvcortez16 July 2023
On what I've seen in this little episode, the Subplot is nothing, but something that wouldn't feel very out of place in a Naruto Filler Story (except it's over 999 Quadrillion Times even worse) and the Main Plot is one of the biggest Insults alongside with it being one of the biggest, beefiest and DIRTIEST Middle Fingers (apologies for saying these Words, but still, this episode celebrates the most disgrace fully disgusting parts of Family Guy and by extension, Animation as a whole) that I've ever gotten in Animation History (and in fact, this episode is so insulting to the MAX, that I wish, really wish that I got a creamy chance to use Ideon to destroy this, freaking, monstrosity for once and for eternity because of well, bring it on, punks) and so, I would rather watch the entirety of Space Runaway Ideon as a whole alongside with many kinds of Japanese Anime Movies and Shows that are in the Horror Genre and stuff over this disgusting, horrible and disgraceful monstrosity any Day for myself and finally, that's dang it. That's all, folks.

Why do you watch this show?
coflaky8 August 2022
I've seen many people reacted badly to this episode. I want to ask to those, "Why are you watching this show?"

I mean this is a pretty basic episode of the Family Guy. And it's not the first season, but 13th. If you're watching this, you're too close... no no. If you're watching this, you must know the show already. So, be a man and go away or stop complaining, since theres nothing out of the ordinary here.

What Family guy is all about!
aaronbfontenot21 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Despite what most think of this episode I really didn't think it was that bad. I was completely laughing from start to finish that Stewie would go as far as implementing Brian's DNA into him to have a baby. This totally brought me back to old family guy writing styles and even though some may find the jokes a bit grotesque and disturbing in this particular episode this is really what family guy is all about by pushing comedy levels to the absolute limit and makes us question what could be considered funny or not excellent job Seth MacFarlane a 10/10

They finally got back to their roots
thetiger-8655014 September 2019
It was about time Family guy remembered how to be fun, and it's really about pushing the boundaries. Yes, the episode is disturbing, but there is a red dot that circles 16, isn't there?

Disturbing in a good way???
ilovellamasmobilegames28 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It's a funny episode, don't get me wrong, it's just a wee bit horrifying and nightmarish in some parts. I like how this episode brings back some of the old weirdness and randomness of the older seasons, it's just a bit too much at certain points in the episode. The whole idea of a baby being pregnant is just disturbing to me. I think Brian punching Stewie in the stomach after finding out he's pregnant is a funny gag, though. Stewie also just seems incredibly clingy and out of character in this episode. It's nice that he wants to spend more time with Brian, it just seems unlike him to go to such an extreme extent as impregnating himself with Brian's DNA just so they can spend more time together. The horrifying monstrosities that Stewie ends up giving birth to are probably my favorite part of the whole episode.
