I'm starting to think you're a pretty good secret agent

The mystery continues as the SSR persists against Isodyne Energies. While this episode continues along with its season long arc, it does focus a fair amount on romantic relationships. Primarily with Sousa and his girlfriend, Sousa and Carter, and Carter and Wilkes. While I do like these people together, I do think that they need to focus on the season long arc which seems to be extra-dimensional as the substance "Zero Matter" is immediately intriguing.

I got to say that I am really starting to like Wilkes. He's charming, funny and very likable. I loved his story about how much he had to work his way in to his job as it boosted my sympathy for him. The twist on Whitney was also good as she is more than she seems as the brains behind Isodyne. She seems like she is going to be another good villain. especially a female one, although its going to be a major challenge to top Dottie.

The whole powerful men controlling America was also very intriguing as it is completely possible that that isn't just fiction. I like the return of Ray Wise, too, as he is a very good actor. I also like the link to Agents of Shield as the logo for the gentlemen's club is the same symbol important for the third season of Agents of Shield.

"Bigger than you think"

I'd like to think that Agent Carter is the most unique comic book show out there. First of all it's a period piece. It's a comic show centered on a female character (which we just don't get in film or TV far too often), and lastly, there isn't any superheroes dropping by to save the day. Its uniqueness has always been a strong point but I think this episode veered perhaps too far into clichéd superhero moments, or even just romantic clichés in general.

As I said before, there's no need to give Peggy a love interest right now, but I think the show runners are going forth with it no matter what. This episode clearly focused on that void in Peggy's life of not having someone when everyone around her seemingly already does. I enjoyed her dynamic with Wilkes, though I guess that maybe over now. And the whole 'will Sousa marry his wife even though he clearly still has some feelings for Peggy?' got a bit tiresome. I'm all for the Sousa/Peggy relationship, just don't take it into an overdone and overly dramatic area where most TV shows and films do.

This episode also gave us a closer look into the Isodyne incidents and how it was a part of an atomic anomaly during testing years back. I love that there is still tons of mystery surrounding the entire story line, much like last year with Leviathan, but we do have a good look at the two women who will be the (sort of) new baddies for Peggy to take down. We didn't see Dottie, but we got a good look at Frost, who is quite clearly in charge when it comes to her and her husband. It was also interesting to hear Wilkes talk about how these experiments may cross other dimensions that she or anyone is unfamiliar with. Could this be where those rumored Doctor Strange tie-ins happen?

So in all, this episode had a much goofier and light-hearted tone filled with romantic moments, some good some bad. I did enjoy the time we spent with the Jarvis', even if the screwball comedy at times is a little off.

Episode 2, good production value and acting, but lacking dismally in logic for the sake of drama along with that noisy "suspenseful" score.

Completely false narrative

The "scientist" that Peggy meets with at the night club told a bold face lie!! The writers are clearly Disney puppets!! At the Observatory, he tells Peggy the military was the big reason he got his degree working as a navy engineer while in service is a bold face lie!! He would have been no where near that kind of job, look up actual history & not follow Disney version of history!!! It's the actual history that has helped this country move in a better direction as the 20th came to an end, but forgetting history want you to do only allows for history to be repeated!!!
