Agent Carter has had its ups and downs this season, but I think this episode really came together and gave us one of the more thrilling and satisfying episodes the series has had since its inception. All of that even without Peggy out in the field much at all. 'Life of the Party' gave me what I have been hoping for since the season premiere in more Bridget Regan as Dottie. Sure, Whitney Frost has stepped up her game since her first appearance, but the hole that was missing this season was Dottie's presence. Whether it was her seductive banter with all of the men in the show or her back and forth with Peggy, I had a lot of fun watching her arc unfold.
Peggy came up with the great idea of having Dottie go undercover to the fundraiser where Whitney, Chadwick, and the rest of the panel were planning their next move with Zero Matter. It was fun to see that even Dottie was shocked by some of the reveals that went down as Whitney showcased her full abilities and consequently killed her husband. At an event like this, you can always expect the SSR to play a part, and tonight was no different. Jack did his best to spoil any plans Peggy and crew had of getting a sample of Whitney's Zero Matter. I was kind of hoping that Jack would make the turn to Peggy's side after all that he's seen. But the very last scene was pretty much his final chance. I wouldn't be shocked to see Jack kick the bucket very soon.
So in all, tonight gave us some great Dottie moments, surprisingly effective romantic material, and solid Zero Matter action. I would think Peggy will be joining in on the fight within a few episodes, after all, she was impaled only a few short days ago.
+Dottie is back
+Chad Michael Murray's performance
+Jarvis & Dottie banter
9.0/10
