underrated episode

I know how this episode makes people feel. And I felt that way, too... through most of it. Charlie is introduced and the audience automatically says to themselves "oh my god, this is one of those annoying over-the-top characters that they intentionally made unpleasant for it's own sub-plot". And they do a good job making you want to skip this episode.

Stick around for the ending. The emotional moment at the end is very well written and touching. It quickly makes you feel heartbroken for a living being suffering from isolation.

Caveshare

Grizzly gets into the Caveshare business, but Panda wonders why you would want strangers in their place, and Ice Bear doesn't like it at all.

Here Charlie (voiced by Jason Lee) is introduced to the Bear World, and the Bears learn that Charlie is a gregarious bigfoot type character. Charlie really makes himself feel at home as the bears' first Caveshare guest, rummaging his way through the house for whatever food is available. Grizz is happy to have Charlie as a guest, but Ice Bear and Panda aren't at all happy about Charlie's presence.

Things get out of hand when Charlie invites all his friends from the forest, and then Charlie is under siege when the media descend on the bears to get a glimpse of Charlie.
