A great movie!

This was the second film I have seen by Gisela Pereira and it did not disappoint. I really enjoyed this film. Her style of directing is something akin to a national treasure. I hope to see many more movies by her in the future. I also hope that this film and the others she has made get the recognition that thy deserve.

A stunning and thoughtful film

A charming tale full of mysticism and magic. This is much more than a period piece or a fairy-tale. It expertly weaves the best parts of both genres around the common thread of ballet; all of which was beautifully performed by the way. Graceful, nuanced, and completely original. There's really nothing quite like it.The level of artistry alone sets it apart from any other film I've seen in quite a long time.

Fun magical movie for everyone

Another original movie from GP. Like most of their movies this one has great effects and also a great music score. The music pulls you into this magical world and the effects really make it come to life. The plot is original and unique. It makes you look at things from a different perspective. A great faerie tale for anyone.

Warning: Spoilers
The film Ballet Pointe shoes by Gisela Pereira is a wonderfully playful fairy tale which I really liked - a magical ballerina story enchanting with a love of detail in costumes and settings. Extra effects and shiny lights add a dreamy atmosphere and make it a wonderful experience for little ballerinas. Very recommendable from my point of view, especially with the sneaky twist in the end!

Magical fairy-tale

Another beautiful fairy-tale movie from Gisela Pereira. Like her film, The Otherworld, Ballet Pointe Shoes is effortlessly directed masterpiece. It's a fresh take on a sometimes stale genre; with the pithy dialogue carrying to carefully crafted story. Jenny Morrison stands out in particular as a true leading lady. Give it a watch!

England's magic :-)

I truly loved the little English villages, the castle, the Victorian theater... full of enchantment, great image and a lovely story with an unexpected ending! The actors were great, and of course as a ballet fan every dance piece was a treat. Specially when the ballet shoes are magic! :)
