The Nation's Favourite... has celebrated all the best chart music from the greatest singers and bands from around the world, and artists and their songs that have reached number one, but this instalment in the documentary series celebrates the best songs from the films of Walt Disney Pictures, I was interested in the results of this countdown documentary programme. Walt Disney created Mickey Mouse in 1928, introducing him in the silent cartoon short Steamboat Willie, and then he gambled on creating the first full length animated film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, it succeeded, and since then his name and the Disney studio has created hundreds of animated and live action films. Hundreds of these films have many memorable songs in them, this show counted down the best songs from some of the most famous and enjoyed Disney films, as voted by the public. The ten listed songs (a disappointing amount considering how many great films and songs Disney have created, it should have 20 or 25) are: "You Can Fly! You Can Fly! You Can Fly!" from Peter Pan (1953), "When I See an Elephant Fly" from Dumbo (1941), "He's a Tramp" by Peggy Lee from Lady and the Tramp (1955), "Whistle While You Work" from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937), "A Spoonful of Sugar" from Mary Poppins (1964), "A Whole New World" from Aladdin (1992) which won the Oscar for Best Original Song, "Let It Go" by Idina Menzel from Frozen (2013) which won the Oscar for Best Original Song (most thought that this song would be number one), "When You Wish upon a Star" by Cliff Edwards from Pinocchio (1940) which won won the Oscar for Best Original Song, "Circle of Life" from The Lion King (1994) and number one was "The Bare Necessities" by Phil Harris from The Jungle Book (1967). Other songs mentioned in the show were: "Baby Mine" by Betty Noyes from Dumbo (1941), "Bella Notte" from Lady and the Tramp (1955), "Dig, Dig, Dig" and "Heigh- Ho" from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937), "Friend Like Me" by Robin Williams from Aladdin, "A Whole New World" by Peter Andre and Katie Price, "Hi Diddle Dee Dee" from Pinocchio (1940), "I've Got No Strings" from Pinocchio (1940) and the success of The Lion King Musical. Songs not mentioned from Disney films (that I think should or could have been in a longer list) were: "Be Our Guest", "Beauty and the Beast" which won the Oscar for Best Original Song and "Something There" from Beauty and the Beast (1991), "Bibbidi- Bobbidi-Boo" from Cinderella (1950), "Breaking Free" from High School Musical (2006), "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" (which won the Oscar for Best Original Song) and "Hakuna Matata" from The Lion King, "Chim Chim Cher-Ee", "Let's Go Fly a Kite" and "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" from Mary Poppins, "Colours of the Wind" (which won the Oscar for Best Original Song) and "Just Around the Riverbend" from Pocahontas (1995), "Cruella De Vil" from 101 Dalmatians (1961)," Ev'rybody Wants to Be a Cat" from The Aristocats (1970), "Give a Little Whistle" from Pinocchio, "I See the Light" from Tangled (2010), "I Wan'na Be Like You (The Monkey Song)" from The Jungle Book, "I Won't Say (I'm in Love)" and "Zero to Hero" from Hercules (1997), "Kiss the Girl", "Part of Your World" and "Under the Sea" from The Little Mermaid (1989), "Little April Shower" from Bambi (1942), "Once Upon a Dream" from Sleeping Beauty (1959), "Pink Elephants on Parade" from Dumbo, "The Unbirthday Song" from Alice in Wonderland (1951), "You've Got a Friend in Me" from Toy Story (1995), "When She Loved Me" from Toy Story 2, "We Belong Together" from Toy Story 3 (which won the Oscar for Best Original Song), "What's This?" from The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) and "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah" from Song of the South (1946). Narrated by Stephen Mulhern, with contributions from Kristen Anderson-Lopez (Frozen songwriter), Peabo Bryson, Marge Champion (Snow White's life model), Paul Collins (John Darling in Peter Pan), Karen Dotrice (Jane Banks in Mary Poppins), Shaun Escoffery (Mufasa, The Lion King Musical), McFly's Tom Fletcher, Holly Foster Wells (Peggy Lee's granddaughter), Deborah Hand (daughter of Betty Noyes), Jamelia, Katherine Jenkins, McFly's Harry Judd, Lorraine Kelly, Margaret Kelly (Tinker Bell model), John Kimball (son of animator Ward Kimball), Robert Lopez (Frozen songwriter), Idina Menzel, Coronation Street's Tina O'Brien, Little Ant and Dec (Neil Overend and Haydn Reid), Arlene Phillips, Bruce Reitherman (voice of Mowgli), Sir Tim Rice, Richard T.
