Wow, great episode
Kingslaay8 June 2017
BCS has produced another quality episode. An episode that excelled in nearly every aspect. If you want time to just fly by then watch this episode because you will be captivated from start to finish. It was eventful, entertaining and suspenseful. Every main character hit it out of the park.

Nacho gave a great performance and everyone could feel the tension and anxiety as he tried to pull off his scheme with Hector. The pace and timing of what appeared to be a simple scene on the outside but a highly tense and planned scene was beautifully executed. After all he is working with dangerous people. Meanwhile Jimmy is also in top form and he is not even a practicing lawyer! Every situation is a potential hustle and the show runners are carefully creating tough and against the wall scenarios that lead to slipping Jimmy to emerge. Even though we know he becomes Saul Goodman we are seeing a creative and brilliant way of how Saul Goodman came to be.

This episode marks a point when this show has really matured and entered a new and higher level.

The most suspenseful moment yet...

Incredible scene with Nacho in the cafe. The most suspenseful scene in the entire show yet as well as in any TV series I've ever watched. THAT's how you direct! Take something simple and direct the heck out of it. Others should be taking notes here. The rest is good, mainly character driven and all the more engrossing as a result.

Small prayers

Warning: Spoilers
**SPOILERS** --If you haven't seen this episode; and I MUST recommend that you see this episode (Available from Amazon) Do Not Read Further.

Looks like Mike is gonna get some payback for the guy that Hector's crew wasted (the civilian good Samaritan). Jimmy explains more of why his parent's biz really went under, and probably more of why he doesn't trust people.

The music store sleezegeeks got a little comeuppance from Slippin' Jimmy and a loose drumstick. Kim's stance with Howard shows what a chizeling rat he is.

The music "Cold Feet" is really good and fit's Nacho's practice, but I wonder; why does he need more than one pill? Seems like too much risk when the only result needed is a one time medical event.

Can't something please happen to Chuck? His dirty deal on Jimmy comes home with a little malpractice revenge, and his psycho-quack tries to hold down his premature happiness. Like we're gonna feel sorry for him.

Thank God Jimmy deals with the dirtbag Community Service fascist; and, finally I hope we get to see more of Mike !! Gus doesn't want money from Mike, he wants a profitable alliance.

One thing I should have stated in last weeks review was that I sincerely hope we won't spend any time in "How's poor old Chucksville". Enough, already.

Each principal character is set to go. Jimmy has come to realize that his con-man skills are more productive and his salesmanship. Kim takes on another big client (can she spread herself any thinner). Nacho has the pills. Will it work. And now Chuck is trying to come out of his prison. But his firm is in big trouble. And Mike is trying to figure out what to do with all that money that he can't spend. This transitional episode promises a superb conclusion.

One of the best episodes yet

This episodes gave me chills from the beginning with Chuck finally confronting himself in the amazing scene with his doctor. Of course the scenes with Nacho are amazing and the music and atmosphere created are perfect. I was very surprised about Howard finally snapping and lashing out at Kim. Jimmy talking about his parents in the flashbacks was incredibly interesting and shows motive for why he does things the way he does and backs this up by what he does in the present in the episode. Also the scene between Mike and Gus is great. Overall one of the most enjoyable episode of Better call Saul I have watched.

The body at the reservation
gedikreverdi16 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Jimmys coin collection in the attic of their parents old market. Mike found a body in the reservation field with a metal detector. Church starting to doubt his condition. Kim paid her education fee to Howard at the restaurant. Nacho is changing the pills. He's with his father trying to save him from the drug business. Chuck is out at the market. He's trying to overcome his condition. Jimmy tricked the musical instrument store owners into buying his ads. He even got a guitar as a present. Nacho broke down the conditioner and hector took off his jacket. Nacho knowingly dropped bank notes to change the pills. Jimmy makes money with even more weird ways by scaring the social service man to let a drug seller off the duty and he just took a rest on the soil. Mike asks Gus if he can help him with laundering his money. He offered a solution.

Anti-Drama
haroldareynoldsIV5 June 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I dropped my overall score for this show from a 7 to a 6 after tonight's episode after previously dropping it from an 8 to a 7 after season 2.

Season 3 actually started out much improved and pretty good, but the past 3 weeks have been excruciating to watch and back to being disappointing.

The only solid parts were the end between Mike and Gus and Nacho dropping the pills in Hector's coat pocket. everything with Chuck, Kim, Hamlin, and now Jimmy again is just so boring and uninteresting...again. I thought by now, they'd put something interesting together with these characters, but no, back to seasons 1 and 2 with them.

Actions speak louder than words, and this was the first time in 3 years I opted to not watch the 10pm broadcast even though I planned to and the reason why is because I realized just how much this show sucks. It does.

Anyone who says this show is anywhere near as good as Breaking Bad is either lying, a paid shill, or clueless when it comes to the craft of filmmaking. This show isn't even anywhere near as good as Breaking Bad, and that's the truth, and anyone who is honest and knows filmmaking knows it.

I flipped on BB Pilot E1 two nights ago because I got Netflix for a free month promotion, and right off the bat, the show grips you, shows style and confidence. This show is in its 3rd season and it really never ever did that; if it did it was only because you were a fan of Breaking Bad and already gripped to see what the show was like when it first premiered.

By the way, this episode didn't air last weekend so you had to wait 2 weeks to get this? It's like waiting a year to get only 10 slow, boring, repetitive, anti-drama episodes. Well, at least the first 3 of this season were decent. The rest went downhill.

I'll catch the finale, but I'm finally out for this show. Enjoy. I'll keep watching reruns of Breaking Bad if I want to be entertained. This show is exactly why I never watched Television Shows prior to Breaking Bad. They're a waste of time. I just expect more out of this "talent" we came to know in Breaking Bad. Gus, Mike, Saul, and this show is boring?

Slip

Warning: Spoilers
The slow build of Nacho swapping the drugs was the kind of element the Better Call Saul/Breaking Bad universe is so good at delivering. There was some funny moments with Chuck as well, but this Kim-heavy episode was pretty disappointing. There's only a few episodes left in the season and we didn't get a sense of urgency from a lot of the characters.

We did get to see the further development of "Saul", but we need something bigger than faking an injury to see in the finale.
