I think the episodes about the fabulous and incredible Rayna James dying were incredible.
It really touched my soul how the writers, actors and producers did all of this.
It's was all about the raw grief for this beloved star. She was really loved as a person and a artist and it looked so real. The Stella sisters did a incredible job to show the world what is is like to lose a wonderful mum.. Charles esten is someone special, he portrayed losing the one and only love of his life with so much dept and emotion..it's almost impossible not to cry when he does. The rest of the cast were all amazing in showing the grief of losing a beloved colleague, a dear friend or a sister.
I really was wondering what would happen without the amazing character of Rayna James. But I have to say I'm really impressed how the actors and writers proceeded. The kept the pain and the legacy of Rayna alive and still try to move on realisticly. The death of Rayna and departure of Connie brought the whole cast and family closer together and it shows! Highway 65 is now a amazing and close family in season 5 and that's beautiful to watch. Now other characters have the chance to shine like the talented Maisy Stella who got a interesting storyline and to see deacon evolve in such a incredible single parent, and passionate businessman.
This show is one of kind cause I know there are not a lot of shows who does the death of such a beloved character so much justice!
I am impressed!
