Almost great, but not quite!

I loved the realistic setting in the Sands hotel, and hearing the vocals of Sinatra and Martin were terrific. The costumes looked time-appropriate, as did the vehicles. There was one historical mistake. When shortly after landing near Vegas, it was stated that the atomic tests were being run by the U.S. Dept. Of Energy. The problem is that this dept. wasn't created until 1977. I love the settings of the show so far, and the concept of time travel is fascinating. In this episode, the focus on Judith Campbell was an interesting angle. The way that the writers have tackled significant historical events with the premise of the show (the inability to alter history) has been really interesting. The three main characters have been very good so far, and I look forward to future episodes.

Always good production values. The cars in this episode were pretty accurate for the time, but the IBM Selectric 3 didn't come out until around 1983-1984, because I had one.

I liked Lucy's yellow party dress. Her hair looked pretty evocative of the period.

I thought JFK's most infamous mistress was the actress MM. We didn't see much of JFK. With all his back surgeries and multiple affairs, how did he have any time for this dalliance? Besides, he was supposed to be running the country.

Were the time travelers supposed to be preventing JFK's early assassination? This show was murky in its attempted messages.

Will they ever catch Flynn? He is too smart (dumb???) for them. If they got rid of him, there would be no show.

Good to hear representations of the voices of Frankie and Dean in the background.

I am giving this an 8, because I like time travel movies and TV shows.

A fave I had, Pan Am, went back to the JFK years,l but it was cancelled. Just sayin'.

So, was this about Frankie-Dean-JFK, or about da bomb? SMH.

The Special effects on this episode is classy.

Watching this episode I started to examine on which LUT was used while I am using them while my techniques are classified. I couldn't tell Abigail Spencer.

The attire of all four characters fit well on them in that era. Elena Satine who's name is familiar did really well as the mistress of JFK before the Cuban missile crises and his assassination in Dallas, Texas. There's a story behind that scene if her co-star remembers that story.

Like the scene where the countdown started with the atomic bomb in Nevada. The scene looked like it was recolored from a black and white film strip.

A bit of a bore

Why does this show have to go back to famous moments in time.

The original Quantum Leap didn't lower itself to doing this until its later series when it ran out of ideas.

I do enjoy the show as a whole despite watching most of series 1 of Quantum Leap before going back to this.

As a British viewer, I don't know a great deal about the history of the United States Of America and I don't think that these stories will educate me much more than that which I already know.

I can see that thd shots of Frank Sinatra are mainly from a distance of from behind so assume they either didn't know what he looked like or couldn't get someone that looked like him.

This episode, on the other hand, got a 1, awful. Seeing people touching a plutonium core of an atomic bomb, an alleged scientist from the 21. century nonetheless, makes this episode ridiculous.

Everyone with some basic understanding of science knows that even getting close to such a core without heavy radiation protection would kill the person(s) in question almost instantly.

I do love time travel, it is a very interesting topic so I am still going to watch the show but I do hope to see a bit more realism next time. If it, however, does not take itself up in the science department, I will stop watching pretty soon.

Such a waste of a terrific premise.

More of the same here, a fight scene and a separate shootout, where everyone survives and gets away. Rufus has to mention race and it be either a positive or a negative each episode, he can't just be there with his qualifications. The pilot led me to believe Abigail Spencer would be the lead, at the moment it's rather divided. The entertainment's seriously lacking. I like the future telegram bit, but he could have been more creative, making up some elaborate reason to get her away from that destination.
