This music video, directed by Gerald Scarfe (Who is also responsible for the incredible animated sequences from the movie Pink Floyd The Wall) might be a little bit slow-paced, but also has some beautiful, darkly poetical feel.
Despite the violence of some of its imagery, it never feels gratuitous having a rather melancholic feel instead, very fitting for the overall tone of the song.
It could easily have been one of the animated sequences from The Wall movie, had the animation been a little bit more polished in a couple of sequences.
The only somewhat weak moment from it was the scene with the head slowly decomposing to the sun, which honestly feel merely included to make the animation longer, but other than that, a pretty solid 80s music video for an excellent song.
