This is a kind of transitional episode. It focuses on two characters David is panic stricken about taking the driver's test. Alexis tries to advise him to relax but he is hearing none of it. Meanwhile, Stevie is pouring over documents relating to the motel and is in tears. She brings in that real estate guy who was instrumental in the Roses staying where they are. Johnny knows that his family is in danger if she sells, so he offers to be part of the process. The final scene is pretty touching.

Alexis wears a cute dress and the family goes into the car. Johnny refuses to let their insured car be driven by David whose driver's license expired.
Alexis tells David on the way to the test he should have asked her as she has licenses in so many countries and even a truck license. She tells David he gets anxious when there is nothing to be worried about. David says nothing makes her anxious.
Stevie is thinking about selling her motel. Johnny offers to help her with any business functions.
