Warning: Spoilers
So far this is the best of the season. This was wall to wall action which is what most of us watch for.

We did get some minor story developments, but it was the action, the shooting, the violence that separates this show from the rest.

Return to Form

After what I thought was a bit of a let down in the prior episode, the James snapped back to form. Plenty of action, Chandler being like he was at the beginning of season 4, and setting up future plot lines.

Portrays U.S. Navy S.E.A.L.s as inept

U.S. Navy S.E.A.L.s as Historically trained as Underwater Demolitions Teams (U.D.T.) since World War 2 used small amounts of explosives to destroy large obstacles before an amphibious assault.

Gag!

This show has become so pathetically idiotic!

The writers have taken every left social and political agenda as the the script, then added a few planes and bombs around that. Three episodes in, and that's all we see.

*There is no acting!* Monotone, emotionless faces, corny, cheesy one-liners decades out of date, awesome cover girl hair while fighting in the jungle...lol! Does Dane/Chandler actually move his face from that one expression? So bad it's funny.

The helicopter crew is also macho funny, and the gunner (as in last season's critical by me) still unrealistically refuses to wear goggles...because it clashes with her outfit?! lol!

I know how this season will continue and end - exactly like S2, S3, and S4's did. So predictable!

Decent action but terrible direction.

The Last Ship Episode 5.03 (3 out of 5 stars).

The episode still continues with lack of a story. Characterization. And the villain is still forgettable about a dictator wanting to cause chaos and be known. The series started out great and is slowly going downhill. The action is entertaining but terribly directed and executed. The characters make stupid decisions.
