The eternal (romance) classic song for the holidays

Warning: Spoilers
"Wham!: Last Christmas" is a 4.5-minute music video from a very special year, for me in particular, namely 1984. You can read the names of the band and song in the title here and also the occasion for which it was made: the Christmas holidays. It's the first year now, the first holidays after the death of singer George Michael, which is a bit of a sad occasion, but as this one keeps climbing up the charts each and every year, it gives us a great opportunity to think of this brilliant artist once again. I really like this song and video. Is it a bit cheesy? Yes maybe, but it is also just as touching, sweet and kinda tragic too as we see a man and woman meet with friends in the mountains during the holidays and the year before there was some romance going on between the two, but it was a one-time thing apparently and now she has somebody else, but the feelings by both of them for each other are far from gone. I like all the snow in here (the fun people are having in it, also in flashbacks), the female protagonist is truly stunning and the song is just as catchy as it gets. Definitely a favorite of mine for the holidays. You just wanna sing along with G.M. It was a brilliant year for him to be honest, maybe the best year of his career as he also released Careless Whisper back then, another of his trademark songs. And even I as a heterosexual male cannot deny how fine Michael looks in here, a man at the age of 20/21 at that point. Such a shame he had to leave us so early. Makes me sad indeed. This one here may not be his most challenging number vocally, but the more I hear from him, the more I like him. What a unique voice. Back to Last Christmas: it is a song I cannot get enough of, even if I've heard it perhaps a 100 times already. And the music video is just as fine, actually makes it even better. Also a really good decision by Wham! to star in here themselves, gives it additional authenticity. It's a timeless classic and I give it a huge thumbs-up.

Warning: Spoilers
I can't believe George Michael died on Christmas day in 2016. I, along with millions of his fans, must have thought of this beautiful song in such a time of grief for all Wham! Fans.

I love the Last Christmas video.
