Warning: Spoilers
Excellent episode showing what a drug cartel will do to instill fear and they go so far to target the police, that is, Danny's house, which they burn to the ground. Danny could have let the Federal Government handle this, but he didn't. The scene at family dinner when Frank asks Danny to say grace was quite poignant.

Jamie goes after a serial killer who has been targeting the elderly. Of course, the culprit is the least likely person you would think it is and his insane mentality comes out when he is apprehended. How many times have we heard that these killers actually think they're taking the elderly out of pain?

The mayor goes after Frank when it appears that there is no suspect apprehended. When he is caught, the mayor confides to Frank that he has had it and will be submitting his resignation to the council.

Retaliation
bkoganbing22 December 2017
This episode has some heavy duty retaliation come the way of Donnie Wahlberg after he messes with DEA. He and Marissa Ramirez catch a case of a shooting with multiple victims that is marked as drug related. But at the same time the Feds are working with that old big picture idea and they make a deal with one of the main players in the drug cartel.

Maybe he can't arrest him, but Wahlberg certainly does damage the man's credibility and he does strike back.

Will Estes is all over the case of a serial killer preying on the elderly in his precinct. He is the one who finds three of the victims in two separate incidents and shows up the detectives by working a little personal overtime to crack the case.

When will Jamie get that gold shield?
