Continues the excellence of Season 1 while expanding the scope of the show

Sense8: Season 2 does a fantastic job at continuing the quality level work of Season 1 while also expanding upon the mythological story line of the show as well as expanding the overall scope. This was my most anticipated season of television this year and rightfully so. No series on television has grabbed me the way season 1 of Sense8 did since Breaking Bad. The characters and the emotion put behind each and every one of them is really what makes this series so great and Season 2 is no exception as the cluster is closer then ever. The cinematography and direction is gorgeous as usual. Every frame just looks so mesmerizing and perfect to the point where you could understand if they hung it in an art gallery. The acting is excellent on everyone's part and although Nomi still is the weakest character in the group she definitely grew on me and became a more likable and interesting character. The music montages this season were absolutely breathtaking and every song they put in the season gave me goosebumps from Gert Tabner's "In Need" to the show's new rendition of "What's Up". The story this season was also very engaging however some of the story line involving BPO and Whispers did get slightly over complicated. The action sequences were fantastic as usual however only two truly stood out in the season. The sequence involving Sun chasing her brother on a motorcycle and the sequence in which the cluster fights another cluster. However there wasn't one truly defining action sequence compared to some of the greats that the first season featured. The pacing was excellent throughout the entire season however the finale of the season did seem a bit too over bloated and rushed compared to the perfect pacing of its predecessors. In conclusion, Sense8 : Season 2 expands upon the fantastic story line of the first season while widening the scope of the narrative, with some of the best cinematography and direction currently on television, excellent performances, creative and beautiful musical montages with perfect pacing throughout although the finale did seem rushed.

Sense8: Season 2 gets a 9.6/10.

Excellency ad thrill

First, I would like to say that the Christmas episode almost made me not want to see season 2 at all, but I knew I would eventually.

In season 2, as in 1, the first episodes were my least favorite, but in both seasons there was a crescendo that ended in magnificence. For the first time in a show I had this feeling that I would really like to be watching this at a cinema, and that's because I had that feeling of watching something extremely well done and with the budget of a Buchowski film. It's amazing to read that they did each of this episodes with a budget of 9 million dollars when a movie with this sort of production seems like it could easily cost 70 million.

The acting is brilliant. I'm amazed at how Netflix is bringing out such talents to these shows. So many incredible actors and actresses that had never hit the mainstream perform their characters in an outstanding way.

In season 2 the character development and the plot are very well written, specially with scenes that have the most tension, though there are a couple of episodes where you wish they hadn't added unnecessary touches that make you slap your head.

I think the best thing about this show is how the tension is treated, and I hope they will keep doing it right. Now comes the long wait for the next season, but luckily there'll be other great shows to watch while we do so.

Warning: Spoilers
What a season finale..Get ready to for the adrenaline rush, you aren't ready for...really! This episode is going to make you cry and cheer for this group of amazing individuals. Each character will draw you in and make you love them more and more.I found that this episode pulls no punches. I was really excited to see that the story lines continued evolution. The growth in this final episode will leave you screaming at the screen for more of Sense8, almost each episode has come to some kind of climatic resolution. I must tell you that I enjoyed each episode explicitly and can't wait for Season 3.. If you watch you will not be disappointed.Long story short, you'll cry, cheer with emotion, get goosebumps and scream in front of your computer or TV as you see the story develop in one of the best episodes from any TV show this year. This episode is so full of emotions and various stories that I can't really sum up any of them but I'd like to note that you'll be very satisfied with the series finale. The performances are great, the script is really well written as you're glued to the screen at every moment, the editing is sublime and the cinematography... Oh the cinematography, it's been a long, long time since I've seen a movie or show so beautiful. Every single shot could be a still for a cinema magazine cover and it's a treat for your eyes seeing the Icelandic landscape in such a beautiful format.

season 1 felt slow? then this is the perfect antidote
I came into sense 8 season 2 expecting a slow burner like the first season . But boy! i am truly mind blown . each episodes had an adrenaline rush that keeps you hooked to the seats. The episodes in sense 8 season 1 was just a character development process. This one is really an edge -of - the seat thriller .I would like to say positives and negatives about sense 8 season 2

positives:

1.Great story line. All the characters are well developed and has specific roles to play

2.Truly a mind numbing thriller. Don't expect the slowness of season 1. this is thrill ride

3. Great direction and action choreography. most of the scenes are amazingly shot

4. Great background music.and its another reason for all the adrenaline rush

5.Scenes where the main villain enters are really thrilling.

negatives:

1.i cant point out a specific negative point in this . maybe one negative is about season 1 , many people may give up within the first few episodes in season 1 and wont try to watch this season 2 and its really a negative point.

2. season 1 had a conclusion in it but this is an open ending but that's not something i would hold against sense 8 season 2 after all the things that season 2 has in it.

Overall sense 8 season 2 is really mind blowing. all the characters are fully developed and now they feel lovable. forget the slow ride in sense 8 season 1 and even in Christmas special that was just a big leap to a thrill ride in season 2.

Really?
robtmorg-4820326 May 2017
Warning: Spoilers
*Major Spoilers Follow*

Let me be clear, I really like season 2 and enjoyed the last episode. I like that they're continuing to expand the Sensate universe. (The Asian white-blond who shows up in the last episode to rein in Puck looks like serious business, judging from Puck's reaction. I expect/hope we'll see more of her.) I especially liked the fact that the cluster pulled off the assault on BPO by functioning as a "normal" team, instead of a cluster.

But... I can only figure that the production ran out of money because we're missing almost an entire episode here. Episode 11 should have ended with Wolfgang's capture and interrogation by Whispers and the initialization of the rescue plan. The assault on BPO itself deserved (required really) a full episode to develop and present coherently. Instead, the cluster descends on BPO's labs in London, appearing inside a highly secure facility as if by magic (not to mention showing up on Jonas' doorstep). How did they know where the labs were? How did they penetrate security? How did they know where Jonas lives? How did Lito convince Hernando and Daniela that he needed to go to London instead of a freaking hospital? I mean, H&D find him bloody on the bathroom floor in Hollywood, freak out, he mumbles something about needing to go to London instead of a hospital, and then... there he is. That just does not match Hernando's and Daniela's characters at all. And what the heck happened to Wolfgang? I didn't see him with the cluster when they dragged Whispers and Jonas away. No explanation. No clue. Sheesh.

where's the rest BIG SPOILERS
nalwro31 July 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Im sorry but my episode was broken, there was some footage missing for sure. So they have Wolfie and then... wtf happen? How they end up together in BPO place (+ Jonas to be more "interesting") and since Milt was with Wolf in the same facility why they end up with Milton but without Wolfie?

So far it was quite perfect but this last episode...

EDIT: Well show is dead anyway so...
