One of the most powerful songs ever created

And how to put "Tears in Heaven" into words? It's hard, heartbreaking, peaceful yet tragic, after all the man and the artist Eric Clapton drowned himself into his grief and pain to create a tribute to his son Connor, tragically killed in a home accident on March 20 1991, after falling from a building. It's a devastating moment for Clapton but a memorable and very reaching retribution to Connor and the thousands of listeners who got the message expressions by the master artist. It end up being one of his greatest hits repeatedly played to exhaustion to the point of Clapton not being able to sing it live anymore.

"Tears in Heaven" touches deep in so many directions when it comes to feelings, pain, hope for better things that people easily caught up with the feelings of it all in some way or another that it became a song signifcant to many people in different or similar experiences felt by Clapton and co-author Will Jennings. And it end up as part of the soundtrack of the film "Rush" (1991), a story about Narcotics agents who get up caught with an addiction problem themselves. And that's what the music is all about: a soundtrack clip with scenes from the movie intersected with Clapton's solo performance.

"Time can bring you down, time can make you bend on your knees begging please". Strong words, powerful ressonance. If the video doesn't make the cut for you the music must appeal to you in some way. When "Would you know my name if I saw you in Heaven..." gets in you'll be around in tears questioning serious questions about your loved ones just like Clapton does it with perfection here. It's hard to be indifferent towards this song. It makes you feel something and it's one of those songs where you can't listen in a row, it's too sad. As for the clip "Rush" makes things all more interesting even though I don't think it fits the movie all so well. Thumbs up. RIP Connor 8/10.

It is not easy to define. Because it propose exactly what you feel, expect, hope, the fears , hopes and something defining yourself in profound sense. It is a song about the viewer; he is the authentic story. And the bridge to the other, in the middle of thought of final meeting. It is so special not only for its source but for the emotion , like the fire of a match to a candle. So, unique. Intense. And, obvious, profound personal.
