I first came across this positive reinforcement training over 10 years ago w/a dog training program on the tele called "It's Me or the Dog" w/Victoria Stilwell then later documentaries on what came to be know as horse whispering. Film also reminded me of "Le Quattro Volte" about a goat farmer & his dog in the rugged hills of Italy.
Paul Sorenson has developed a similar program for sheep dogs. Filmed in the beautiful rugged & steep hills of New Zealand we see how he trains dogs (interestingly there are barkers & there are silent eye chasers) using different whistles for left, right, run, stop. Then teaching dogs not to worry by placing a hand on the back of the neck until they relax.
Would have liked to have had subtitles, and a menu of scene choice, special features.
