Slow Burning
Tedward_27 December 2019
I loved this episode. No we haven't gotten much more revealed, but this was such a rich episode. it was eerie as well as had some great performances. we got enough subtext this week to try to guess what is going on, i for one have a good idea of where things are going. the uncle was enough to guess what is going on. i believe this is a fantastic episode of a slow burn of a show. if you're impatient and complaining don't watch the show??

Rain - 106

Warning: Spoilers
Certainly not a perfect episode, but the uncle added a much needed crazy dynamic to the show and a sense of unpredictability. We had become a little too accustomed to these characters so he provided some depth and some unintentionally funny lines.

Creepy and weird.

4.5 out of 5 stars.

Episode continues to go in a weird direction. Leannes uncle makes a visit. Which Julian and his sister are home alone and sees his weird behavior.

This episode was a little scary with the cinematography and direction. Which makes it creepy with the uncle. The series is back on track in being interesting.

I was really hoping that they'd put a little more into this episode than the last but this is getting out of hand now. It's like someone teasing you with small bites of something that tastes good and your stomach starts rumbling from being so hungry. That is where I am now with this show. I defended the last episode but now I'm getting impatient.

Intensity, antiques, toenails

Who else is here to explore to the bone-depths of the brownstone? We are curious to delve into the dark brick alcoves of the basement, perch on the counter to nibble on a lobster claw - or equally weird culinary morsel, in the refuge of the laboratory-style kitchen. I want to drink from a ringing glass as we study the cases in the foyer. Answer the door to more unusual guests as we watch trivial sewer excerpts on the oddly out-of-date tvs. Shyamalan excites and teases every drawn out trill of the tantalizing storyline. It's a ten piece degustation and we're only on the sixth course. I'll have mine served with a cold Sauvignon thanks.

These are the worst people. I love the way the class divide is portrayed. This is such an intriguing story. I need to know what's going on, I can't sleep.

Get to the point!

It's more than halfway through the season and the story is lacking the details that make you care. A million loose ends to tie and we are constantly left with questions that may or may not have an answer.

Ridiculous
jaydogva19 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Who in their right mind would let a stranger in the house and then after finding that same stranger had put your baby on the floor and is then found sleeping in the crib, would not immediately kick that said person out of the house??? This isn't a bad series, but this episode just went off the rails, seriously off the rails. Ridiculous.

Great camera work. Interesting show
wiseguy23320 January 2023
Camera angles in this show are always interesting. In the initial scene camera points down and above Dorothy and the mailman. There's a downpour and it evokes a kinetic malevolence but also like they are being watched. It's not from the perspective of either Dorothy or the mailman.

The show is full of off center close up shots that gives you a claustrophobic effect. There's a brilliant close up of the "uncles" hand grabbing Dorothy. His hand is oppressively big and the gesture is aggressive even at first assaulting.

The crib scene threw people off. I don't know why he's sleeping in the crib. Maybe there's an explanation in future episodes but Dorothy's reaction is not out of character. Her entire personality is built on denial. She wants to believe the child is real so much she's able to retrofit reality to make it happen. She feels like setting off the uncle threatens Leanne's stay in that house and a part of her realizes Leanne is necessary for her baby to exist at all.

The story however is too slow and the acting is self conscious. The only one who feels natural in the main cast is the actress who plays Leanne, and she's excellent.

The uncle of Leanne is introduced and he wants Leanne come with her and leave the house. We feel that the uncle Gorge is very protective. And have interesting character.

I really loved the first 2 eoisodes BUT
bk_connection3 February 2020
But now it's getting more and more dragging and irritating. The horror part is loosing and it gets more and more stupid.

Feel like it's getting from good to worse.

Over the top
Baldwin676 October 2022
This is the episode were my suspension of disbelieve finally flew out of the window. I can't believe that people, even if they are directed by M. Night Shyamalan, don't immediately throw someone out of the house who puts their baby on the floor en sleeps in the crib himself. It is just too absurdI stillwonder were it is heading, but I don't believe I have the patience to keep watching too many episodes like this.

I am also a bit scared that it will just go on and on without any clear answers, more or less the same thing that made me stop watching Lost some time ago, a decision I have never come to regret.
