Trouble the Water
bobcobb30124 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
A really strong episode here. You could feel the drama and while it was a little ridiculous how Frank was unstoppable in the woods, that's why we watch this show: to see that awesome absurdity.

This season has me hooked right back in.

The skull and the blood are back, just what the fans deserve
darkmonn8819 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This was a terrific episode with too much fire action, since the begining it seems too thrilling introducing the pilgrim's history and with the russo escape from the clinic, while in the other side frank and the sheriff team prepare to an enconunter with the dead . This was too thrilling ,great direction and performance by john berthal, the final escene of frank was one of the best in all these marvel netflix show , it was so dark and bloody just what we wait of the punisher, the show confirms that this the most mature marvel ever just with daredevil are the shows that the fans deserve we want more of this please dont left it die!!

Fine tribute
Leofwine_draca24 February 2022
This one was a lot better. A little on the dark side but otherwise a fine tribute to ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13 with plenty of shooting, great lines and heroism. Nothing to dislike here.

This episode remind me of John Carpenters Assault on Precinct 13. A good movie. I am already hype about the rest of season 2.

Great episode
Lythas_853 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Well, now it made sense why Castle tolerates the annoying kid. She's ungrateful and even stole his car. He wanted her as bait to lure the bad guys and kill them all.. because they hurt a "friend" who he didn't even bother to check if she's ok after getting shot..

The plot is not solid. It seems Frank is all over the place just waiting for an excuse to kill everybody.

Let's wait... maybe it gets better... or not

Still strong, but...
juanbks1520 January 2019
I don't know if its just me or there's something this season is missing.

Let's get back to season one. Action, perfect acting and... Interesting characters.

In S1 we had Micro. He fit'd perfectly the rol and chemistry with Frank was great. And here... I don't see that. I see this girl and no one else. I can't get into her story, I don't like her. Is it only me?

Alright, about the episode... I've seen this before in other shows. We got the main characters inside a prison and the bad guys are outside, targeting them. But of course, they don't know the main character is called Frank Castle. Average, a good episode, but still missing that chemistry I've been talking about.

A bullet riddled assault on precinct Castle
DVD_Connoisseur19 January 2019
With just a shade of "Banshee" in the Pilgrim flashback opening sequence, this is another hard punching, skull crunching episode.

As always, the show is perfectly cast. Every actor brings something to the table and you genuinely care about the characters as individuals.

This is a tremendous third episode. With instalments this good, this is a show where it's nigh on impossible to just view one episode in a sitting.

Loads of great touches, the direction by Jeremy Webb is top tier stuff.

10 out of 10. If this season keeps on its current trajectory, this could be the best Marvel show to-date.

Unfinished business
Barry_Garrick21 January 2019
This episode feels like the end of part one, as the main characters are beginning to shift around and it will be interesting to see where this season takes them. I'm still yet to be convinced however on this Pilgrim character as the writers just seem to be trying to emulate Fisk too much with the whole calm persona and reciting quotes type character. Being as action-packed as always, this is still a solid chapter.

Good episode with some dumb moments
PraiseBOD12 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Solid episode but the way Russo escaped was unbelievably dumb and lazy. As if not a single person saw him, wearing an easily identifiable mask, leaving with the Dr. It was just there to advance the plot, no thoughts behind it whatsoever.

Same with the religious nut getting away, even though Frank was in shooting distance AND with helicopter lights on the dude. But obviously he had to get away, otherwise that plotline would be already over.

flirtations with disbelief
0versoul18 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
There's an escape scene that pushed me past suspension of disbelief. Are these the same writers from Season One? This episode and that scene were beyond the pale, which is saying something about an episodic saga derived from a fictional comic book. I hope this installment doesn't continue along that trend, or my defense on the paltry two dollar hike will be withdrawn. 5/10 maybe Castle will break something later on.

I really enjoyed the drama inside the sheriff's office but at the same time we're treated to the most unbelievable, ridiculous escape scene in recent memory.

In the dark (Short review)

The slow-building atmosphere of "Trouble the Water" was elevated by an insightful backstory for John Pilgrim and an intense shootout laced with style and brutality.

Series two has been considerably great so far, I think
TheMelancholySpirit18 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Not under the impression that it's a bad series by any means, it's so far from that, and that's having just saw three episodes now. However, as much as I loved the first episode, the second was not nearly as good. I enjoyed episode two but it wasn't as good as the first one, and was weaker than most if not all series one episodes. It was good though, and honestly there haven't been any episodes for me personally that have been lower than a 7-7.5 out of 10. This episode felt almost claustrophobic; as well as dark, I don't mean its tone I mean it was actually somewhat dark once the lights went out at the station, and it was as fast-paced an episode as it was slow, which worked in favour but I actually got so caught up in it I didn't want the shoot-out to end, nor Frank tearing them apart. These new antagonists are fine; this dedicated religious man is a decent villain thus far, has some unsettling expressions and recites passages from the Bible. He seems very calm and careful, as much as he seems very patient (not in regards to actually taking action, though lol). Frank shows us once again towards the final moments just how much of a soldier he is, and it's executed so well I think, honestly. Between the woods, the dark tape around his arm alongside his rifle, and the fact that there are I don't know how many guys spread out, it's a pretty epic, survivor scene, put it that way. Acting as usual is good, same with the directing, and I also loved the scene(s) with Russo - he's broken out of hospital, or "escaped." Frank knows. They're going to New York. I can't wait to see what's to come. I understand the ratings aren't nearly just as good on here compared to series one, but I've heard and read many great things about series two anyway - as well as have saw with my own eyes! Episode three, Trouble the Water, was a superb episode. As I said, and I'll be less vague now, it's both fast paced and slow paced, to me anyway, and what I meant by this was that to me personally it started off somewhat slow paced, then branched out further, become more fast and abrupt, and then it hits you with the going to NY part abruptly (kind of), so that's all I meant there. And because in the end, I got so into it I didn't want it to stop. This episode is a 9.5-10 out of 10 for me. I'll give it 10. Loved it.

Still bored
tenacdme21 January 2019
Episode is a rip-off of Assault on Precinct 13. Also Dinah is wicked annoying..."wah, I trusted Billy and banged him and then he lied to me...now I'm broken forever...phhhttt." Too many Bible verses in the episode. Kept me rolling my eyes. Three episodes in and this season is smelling like a stinker.

Religion and Politics - leave them ut
stratus_phere20 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
You know this will be a horrible episode when they start shoving in fake religion. If there' sone thing hollywood loves, it's fake religion. You want a built-in bad guy? With a built-in motive? Just make up some religious junk and throw in some bible verses. The downhome foiks in LA will eat it up and never waste a brain cell wondering if it's true. Better yet, they will judge all Christians based on the hogwash thrown at them in episodes like this. And even better, they will demand that political policy be set to punish the evil Christians, because some 19 year old writer-wanna-be came up with a script that shows the #1 enemy of the political left (religion) as really wacked out. Nice going.

I should also mention that utter predictability of all doctors and gov't agents turning against Madani because...just because...no reason at all, really. To make her the underdog who has to reprover herself, and once again prove the unkillable and unstoppable Billy really is a bad guy. Gee, I never saw that one coming.
