Well, at least there was some danger presented for the gang in this episode, something we have been missing, but I still need a big villain for them to combat. We are not getting that right now.

So intense!

I don't know what watching a train crash is like but this episodes felt close..the set up is quite interesting, 3 teams all heading on a collision course with each other, you are not sure who is right or wrong, who you should cheer for or root against, there is much to lose if either side is destroyed, and even more to lose if the actual bad guy was to win...it is absolutely the kind of episode that has you glued to your chair watching every word said for clues..even the few moments of levity don't break the tension...the one negative about this episode is it end on a cliffhanger and the prospect of waiting a week for the next one is driving me mad!
The effects were even more wonderful than usual shout out to the effects team who have been killing it this season.
I hate stupid inconsistencies --CONTAINS SPOILERS

Warning: Spoilers
In the previous episode, much was made of the fact that the organism called "The Shrike" dies in extremely cold temperatures. Meanwhile, they send a fire-breathing man (a dragon) as part of the gang in pursuit, a Coulson look-alike with a bomb (sure to produce heat) and a fuel- filled truck that will surely explode ins fireball when it hits the growing tower assembled from those shrike spikes made from the bodies of its victims.
Have these writers never heard of liquid nitrogen? As soon as I heard the way of destroying these critters last week, I thought, why not just spray them with LN2 and kill them? It's not like it's that hard to come by.

"It's complicated"... lame

These two words herald the end of any thoughtful writing for all these shows. Off the top of my head, The Flash, Green Arrow, The Originals and now Agents of Shield... once the characters start saying "it's complicated" viewers can go ahead and shut it off.
I kindly ask that the writers, please stop. No one speaks like that. Thank you.
