Stick around for the end
phd_travel31 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Familiar territory at first. A college girl returns home for summer to find her mom besotted with a man she doesn't trust. He seems to be looking for something. There is a current and topical explanation for what he is looking for. Crypto currency is the theme for this Lifetime thriller. Like the way things turned out.

Not that bad just have to get through a bit of a slow middle.

Ehhh...
queenb-116476 September 2019
The movie starts off strong then becomes sort of dull then starts to pick back up with entertainment then becomes dull again. The daughter is a brat from beginning to the end. This is something you watch when you're trying to go to sleep.

Come for the bad acting, stay for...
tiffanysheakley11 August 2019
Random cameo by a crew member's dog! When Bailey and her friend go outside to talk by the pool, if you look at the glass door and you'll see a sweet pup sad he can't go outside and play.

UNWATCHABLE
mitchellfinesod16 June 2019
Movie was impossible to watch due to the editor's total failure on sound. The background music, which was always playing, completely obliterated the dialogue, making it impossible to hear. The premise seemed good, but it was not possible toi critiquethe movie due to the overwhelming music. Usually, loud background music is inserted for the following reasons, 1. Make up for bad acting. 2. Make up for bad dialog. 3. Make up for lack of money and creativity in the setting, scenery, location. We will never know unless the movie is re-released with the music deleted or lowered.

background noise
c88ff23717 June 2019
I read the other review about background noise. I am actually watching, or trying to watch it while on the computer. The noise as with many of these shows, although, some are not quite as bad, is horrible. It is throughout the whole movie. Unbelievable. Normally, I am not doing anything while watching a new show, but I can't enjoy the movie because of all the background music, thumping, etc. whatever you want to call it. They are putting this horrid sound on so many things. They don't care, because people have been complaining for a couple of years now. Investigative ID is really terrible. I have tried going into audio setup, taking it off of TV speakers, and what not. Nothing works. Putting captions on. If you can read them fast enough before the next sentence is said. Then when a commercial comes on, the noise is even louder. Then I turn to a commercial free station. It wasn't always like this. I know they can take it off of the show. Well, I know I will never look at this one again. Not enjoyable.

Horrible Audio
sallybuc17 June 2019
I concur with the other two reviews, and also found this movie difficult to follow because of the (should be) background music. Plus the background noise in the public scenes was also too overwhelming. One would think, that there would be someone in place to watch all the movies before they are aired, to save our ears from this mess.

Pain In My Brain !
carolynocean25 February 2021
Yes folks, I really do have a pain in my brain for having sat through this. I also have cramp in my thumb from adjusting the remote for sound control.

So,, physically , this film has really had an effect on me, not I am sure ,what the producers had in mind!!!!. That awful teenager grated on my nerves, and just for sheer stupidity, the mother wore me out.

So all in all, I do realise that this is really not a proper review, but I really needed to get this off my chest ( which is feeling quite tight at the moment because of all this stress ) !!!!!!!!!

So now I think i will head off and get a full medical and hearing test.

This movie really should have a Government Health Warning !!!!!

Dumb
tomfsloan13 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
As everyone else said, the sound was not good. Not as bad on my big tv but still way too much canned music. The girl was a brat. But the worst was the stupid, stupid, endless ending. Starting with: When I get hit in the head with a shovel, I usually wake up fast with zero pain, just like the bad guy here. Overall the plot was not bad. Just a bad production.

How to Open an E-Wallet
lavatch3 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Bailey Kershaw has just started her undergraduate career as a geology major at Berkeley. But when she returns home after her first semester, nothing from her studies of rock formations has prepared her for the rocky situation of her family.

Bailey's beloved dad was murdered as he was working on a high tech project for the genius Hiro Misaki, who was developing crypto currency in the form of an e-wallet. Brad Kershaw was a dreamer, but his daughter loved him because he was always waxing optimistic about the future.

When Bailey returns home, she is surprised that her mother Tina is engaged to be married to a fitness and health expert named Hugo. From the outset, Bailey believes that the oily Hugo is running a con, yet is unable to convince her mom to be on her guard.

The best scenes in the film are when the contentious Bailey confronts Hugo, grilling him with questions about his past that he cannot answer. Caught in the lie, Hugo now urgently seeks to find the password to the e-wallet, which was the true reason he began a relationship with the gullible Tina.

Ably assisted by her friends, Fee and Anders, Bailey succeeds in learning that Hugo was the man who murdered her father. The three amigos must now find a way to bust Hugo and retrieve the password. In that quest, Bailey is guided by the aura of love she received from her impractical but doting dad. In the end, love conquers all, in this case the special bonding of a father and daughter.

Can't Hear
Lissa201817 June 2019
I read another review that talked about the loud music and I was so glad to hear it wasn't just me. I was cranking the sound to try and listen to the dialogue. I feel like I missed so much of the movie and I don't understand what is happening.

Annoying music
bobbycrawford-5437610 May 2021
The constant awful music throughout makes it very difficult to hear the dialogue & ruins any enjoyment of it.

It's hard to believe that someone got payed for this terrible noise.

Drek, drek, drek.
patswhatsup5127 October 2019
The other reviewers here complained about the audio being too loud and drowning out the dialog. I'm thinking it's a blessing in disguise. So the questions I have are: Who writes this drek? How could Mom be so darn stupid? How is it that the daughter, who is so unlikable, have any friends at all, let alone evoke any sympathy from viewers? Why isn't everyone involved with this claptrap of a movie behind bars?

I seriously can't
Sonja199920 June 2019
Vanessa Marcil is usually good in Lifetime movies but this had to be the worst performance I've ever seen. The movie was so bad, so poorly acted, and the background noise was unbearable. How do writers, directors, etc that make this mess actually receive a good salary. Just plain awful, save yourself the time and watch pbs.

Kevin Sizemore should be pleased he didn't stay in for long!
rosey-1410 May 2021
This movie is just a travesty, how low has Eddie Mclintock sunk doing this.

The actress playing the mother never produces even average performances in anything I have seen her in, she simpers like a teenager in all her movies. I would say she needs to act her age but acting isn't one of her skills.

The lead actress, needs to get a haircut and play a young adult, hopefully she will develop as she ages.

All in all, don't waste your life watching this trite rubbish.

Almost Nothing Redeemable About This One
aprilsfriendorin23 August 2020
Bad acting, unlikable characters, and a plot that's simultaneously too predictable and too convoluted. The best part of this movie is the black best friend, whose character deserves more than being designated the black best friend trope.

Bad acting
geoffox-766-41846718 July 2020
I found the sour-faced daughter in this so obnoxious. Someone should have slapped her hard across the mouth for her disrespect towards her mother who just married her stepfather. I found her, if I were the parents to kick her out of the house or put her in a reform school. Poking her stuck up nose into everybody's business. The long straight hair down to her wazoo made her look even more droopy. And the over-the-hill make=up for a teeny bopper. Bad look, bad actress, so-so story line, has been done to death and better by other authors and directors and cast. Phew.

Great Cast
mpalahach27 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Yes, it's a Lifetime movie, but the cast was great. I couldn't stop watching it! Major and minor characters were good! I've always been a Vanessa Mancil fan.
