Too disturbing
TheDyingGirl27 March 2020
Lady there where so many red flags. She failed her child and his child . Legit a kid came out of the comma and pointed to who tried to off him and somehow she still made an excuse that the boy must be mistaken. Your husband says he works for the FBI and you just believe it ? Your child missing for a year, most likely dead and her boyfriend tells you earlier what happend and you still believe she is just hiding from you. Hard for me to fanthom !

These women with children
dresmiles13 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
There are so many episodes where these women with children ignore and reason away signs. I understand being blind by love but the complete lack of protection the seem to offer to their own child in the name of being desperate for love is unreal. There are definitely episodes where women do protect their children but I'm surprised at some Of the stories like this one where the woman is just totally ignorant and willingly dumb to any motherly instinct that they would tell their story.

Well done

As all my reviews on true crime shows like this, I'd like to start off that giving it a 1 because you thought it was sad or the killer was a jerk is unfair to the production team.

I felt this episode did a great job illustrating what happened. Based on the reviews I saw, I think maybe they needed to show a longer time frame to illustrate that this Lori McLeod didn't have all this have happened to her at once but gradually over time it escalated. It's easy in the context of watching the show to make her out as an idiot. I recall hearing my dad was getting cpr and I need to go to the hospital ASAP. I thought he'd be fine, it's trained doctors, though I also recall saying cpr works a very small percent of the time months before that. The human mind works that way , so I don't fault her. We hear what we want to hear. Social media should have put the mail in the coffin on that if you thought differently beforehand. Frankly there has been way worse cases than this in the show.

I googled if she died. Seems so but I got no positive answer cause mixups with her name and some say it was 2015 but this was a 2019. So who knows. I pray she keeps having peace with her terminal cancer and does meet up with her daughter in Heaven.

Frustrating
Farfallina7825 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
So many signs...but first of all, why does anyone believe someone is a federal agent? Lol. Do you not know how much schooling and training that takes? Do you not ask for ID? Not only did this guy almost kill his own kid (and the kid said so, but she didn't believe him), his uncle randomly disappears (and leaves a blood stained couch along the way) and then her daughter disappears?!? Meanwhile this guy gets arrested multiple times and she buys his "wink wink, it's just my undercover work." Ridiculous! I don't have patience for such stupidity and it's her own damn fault her daughter got murdered. #sorrynotsorry. Stop being d*¢kmatized, ladies.

Irritated that the two words "stupid" & "woman" have to be used in the same sentence.
smartinezmd29 December 2023
I was a single parent all my life. Tried dating a few-to-several times but there was always one criteria that no one seemed to fulfill - beyond truly caring about me - and that was whether or not they were really into my kid or not. Unfortunately, I was not one of the lucky ones because I know that there are great stories - true stories - of beautiful men who have taken on raising a child or children who were not theirs but had the capacity and grit to do it. Parenting can suck (at times) even when they're your own - biological - children. But, I could clearly see within a matter of a few weeks (tops) someone who was not going to be good for the long haul...by the time my son had reached puberty, I had been alone with him all those years and, basically, stopped trying. I get so FRICKIN' angry at these dumb bunnies who cannot use their cognitive abilities to figure out what the heck is really happening. Their need to have a man in their lives consistently overrides basic intelligence. Basic intelligence. Not exceptional. Just basic. Stupid women of the world like the woman in this episode: please, stop shaming us. Lori McLeod died in 2019. RIP.
