Emotional ride!
at_RivyuwMamak8 May 2019
This is not your usual KDrama. For a crime centered drama, it deliver so many things. It has romance, good suspense, plot twists, deep characters, perfect chemistry, and bittersweet ending.

To be honest, knowing He Is Psychometric has Kpop idols as main leads, i started watching this with very low expectation. Merely hoping for a light and feel good entertainment. Surprisingly, this Kdrama exceeded my expectations.

Jin Young's act was very on point! This is his first main role and he excelled! And Kim Da Som, oh my i love her! I really enjoyed her performance.

This drama kept me on my toe, never dragged and it was wrapped perfectly! Imo, this is rare in Kdrama industry

Minus points for me: 1. Plot inconsistency. Its first half was light. There were romance and a little bit comedy. Then on the second half it suddenly took a sharp turn. It got very very dark and sadly never returned to its light comedic side. The transition was not smooth, thus gave me a weird feeling. 2. Pacing problem. Sometimes it slowed down with useless scenes and conversations. But good thing was, it didn't bore me.

Underrated!!!
ninchenbienchen28 February 2021
It's really kind of sad how this show is more of the category undiscovered just because the main cast is rather unknown or an idol which is why I guess people don't expect much of this show.

But it's seriously so good!!!

The first few episodes are the typical character introductions and their backstories and even though that part is usually the least attractive one of a drama I wasn't bored. That first part is also more on the comedic side.

Which is why I was a little overwhelmed when the series took a turn and it suddenly got very dark, mysterious and also kind of psycho. But I loved it and literally couldn't stop watching! One thing though: the romance in this show isn't as prominent as you'd expect of a drama that is declared as one. Especially in the second part, it really takes a backseat. So please be aware of that fact!

I also loved the characters very much. The cast did an amazing job playing them and I truly mean that.

Downsides/minus points: 1. Although there were unexpected twists and surprises in the show, the general direction it would take and which characters could be hiding something was pretty clear from the beginning. I wish they hadn't pointed to those characters as much as they did to make it even more surprising. 2. The ending was unnecessarily stretched out. They could've concluded the show in episode 14 but nope, they went on and made basically a full episode (ep.15) about them looking for the culprits who were hiding in a place that was so obvious, they could've thought of that way earlier.

All in all, I definitely recommend this show if you like crime/mystery content with amazing and lovable characters!

I didn't have high expectations. Watched it as a GOT7 fan! But my oh my! It exceeded my expectations. Even though the ending was predicted after episode 10 but it was worth it!

Sooo underrated, i wish more people knew of it
zr_arshad5 May 2019
True that the cast is newbie and unknown but these actors are gems and breathe life into their characters. Each character has been given a back story and a purpose which tackles is usual rife with secondary characters. The lead actor is amazing and funny, he adds little thoughtful nuances to make his character unique. The lead actress is gorgeous and talented. Dasom is amazing for a singer-turned-actress and let's not forget about my new oppa, the brooding and mysterious KIm Kwon who at first looks so much like Lee Jong Suk but eventually you make a spot for him and him alone in your heart. I wish more people knew about this, watched this and gave this drama the recognition it deserves. I loved that the plot doesn't let logic die to make the story.

Concept is good ,ending is a mess
seveneleven-4426931 May 2019
Promising opening, amazing acting by the leads and superb supporting cast, first few episodes are just amazing, then as the series progress ,the whole thing is just not tied very well and the last 3-4 episodes are total mess,if you are fan of the main male lead ,then you can survive easily.

Greatly Exceeded My Expectations!
fake_moviestar7 November 2020
Based on the summary and poster, I was expecting like a goofy comic-book knock-off slice of life type of show. Instead I got a complex, well written plot with some fantastic acting! While all the actors were unknown to me, they all really brought their a-game, and everyone did a really great job. I was kept guessing until the very end, and all the plot points and pacing were well done and executed perfectly. Accompanied by a haunting score along with some cute contemporary songs, the atmosphere was perfectly balanced and suited the story line. This was made before the Memorist, but had similar themes. I like them both a lot, so if you liked that show I feel you would enjoy this one as well.

The first few episodes had great acting and thrill. Got slow and very predictable in last few episodes.

Above average, But not outstanding in plethora of available K-dramas.

Well i usually listens to MR good enough/not good enough because hes normally spot on but not this time, very good series average acting but the writing more than makes of for that, Kim Da-Som steals the show in her smaller role very good job by her not sure if she's ever got a lead role but she deserves one.

Interesting series.
kwihui14 February 2023
Although it's dealing with a serious matters such as murders, lunatics, and morally corrupt people, it also had many little moments that were funny and very emotionally touching moments that were cute and memorable.

There really isn't anything that has not been already done but still it is an interesting and entertaining series. A few of minor details which were annoying and low grade editing that missed the mark, such as changing their place of living! The two brother's new apartment at first was a large and spacious building that overlooked the skylines but in the continuing episodes exchanged for much smaller closed in motel like place! As I'd said, it's nothing substantial difference but I hate that the "professional set designers" can't keep up the set continuity.

There were a few others but those are mainly the editors mistakes. They failed at times to continue the scenes, instead the upcoming episodes, nearly always, failed to keep the storylines straight! Don't they watch these episodes when they are editing?! Very bothersome.

Anyway, overall it is a good series with the smart young actors who had successfully delivered the story. Convincingly acted in most scenes, but missed a small areas. Nothing very noticeable.

It was well produced, directed, and plots well developed and conveyed by these young actors well.

I have enjoyed binging on this series. I can no longer watch any programming from a week to week. I want the stories to end in a few viewing and not linger as it were in the past. Is it still aired week to week?! I've no idea because I no longer watch anything on television. We've got a smart tv but it sits without ever being turned on.

Oh, a few times we did check to see if it still worked. Our little furbaby, a Jack Russell Terrier, barked at the huge on screen people! He doesn't know about the television for he's never seen any shows! It was a very funny moments!😉

Finally, I do recommend viewing it. It's a good entertainment! Enjoy!😊👍

Loved it but wished for a different ending
tay-sedai30 December 2020
I really did like this show, however I will probably not watch it again. I was quite fixated on the supporting cast, namely the older brother and his potential love interest. If you've seen the show you'll know how all that went down, and to me although it was quite realistic, it hurt and I didn't like it.

The show was really good though, with talented actors and a compelling storyline that kept me hooked to the end.

Not Good Enough
PennyReviews10 May 2019
I really wanted to like He is psychometric. However, even from the very first episode, things seemed a bit slow and boring. The story itself sounded interesting, however the execution killed it.

So, the first part of the drama was really tiring to watch. We were introduced to the characters and the main hero's past story and abilities. And then, the drama jumps into the future, where the two leads meet again, under different positions this time. The development of the romance took place during that time. But, the romance was weak and didn't have the strong vibes that it needed to keep the interest high.

The best part was when the mystery started being revealed. The serial killer and the backround stories were interesting and entertaining. However, to reach that point you have to go through the boring first part unfortunately.

Finally, the performances were good, especially from the second lead.

So, 4.5 out of 10 because this drama could have been really good, but the execution didn't help it thrive and it just ended up being another boring drama.

Terrific Story.
abdssgjs16 October 2020
Wonderful Series. Surely Watchable. Suspenseful. Few scenes stir up emotions. Actual connect with characters can be established. Acting prowess of S Korean cast is above board. Cannot wrong any character in this series. Lead Characters given a strong performance. Mystery remains unsolved uptick the last episode surely.

Why is this so underrated?? Why??
mehedihasanshohan20 September 2020
After finishing the drama, I just said one word " wow". This drama has literally everything. The plot, actors, script- everything was perfect. Normally most of the korean writers mess up the last few episodes. But that doesn't happen here. From first episode to last episode, it was fully done.

It is in Netflix. So don't waste any time. Go watch it. You'll thanks me after watching it.

I'll miss this series a lot..

Awesome show
palkartik-8046721 July 2023
Absolutely loved this show! A perfect blend of mystery, suspense, thriller, and romance. Both main leads nailed their roles, especially the male lead who exceeded expectations despite being an idol. The female lead was impressive too. Every episode kept me on the edge of my seat, unraveling secrets and emotions that touched my heart.

For those new to Korean dramas, this is the perfect show to start with! It's a hidden gem that deserves much more attention. I can't fathom why more people aren't watching it. This underrated drama truly captivates from the start and keeps you hooked till the end. The storytelling, acting, and emotions are top-notch. I implore everyone to give it a chance; they won't be disappointed. Trust me, it's a remarkable journey worth experiencing!

Too long winded (BORING)
gcmcm6 August 2020
I have got to ep 8 still don't really know the characters, so can't feel anything for them. Acting is wooden and story is dragged out so long that I have lost interest. I never normally fall asleep to korean dramas but have slept through the last 2. Do not recommend if you like fast pased drama.

Underrated and a must watch!!
hanalisss19 August 2023
From its first episode, it hooks you with its unique blend of supernatural mystery and heartwarming romance. The character development is a true standout; you can't help but become emotionally invested. The chemistry between the leads is so palpable that it's impossible not to root for them. And let's talk about the plot twists - they're like a rollercoaster ride that never lets you catch your breath!

What sets this kdrama apart is its innovative take on psychometry, which adds a layer of complexity and intrigue to the storyline. The suspense is relentless, keeping you guessing at every plot turn. And while some may argue that the supernatural elements are a bit far-fetched, I believe they're what make the show so addictively fun.

Perfect blend of emotions - it makes you laugh, cry, and hold your breath in suspense all within the span of an episode.

This series is an absolute must-watch. It's a testament to the genre's ability to deliver captivating storytelling that leaves a lasting impact.

don't believe the bad reviews
hueningkaimarryme28 February 2023
This drama is literally my favorite drama of all time. I've rewatched it more than ten times but nothing can top it. The emotional attachment I have to HiP is insane! It's a mix of so many different genres, such as mystery, comedy, thriller, romance, supernatural, fantasy, and even more. It does a wonderful job of tying all of these genres together and presenting them in a beautiful, cohesive show.

It starts off slightly slow, but it picks up the pace after the time jump around episode three. After Ep 3, it's really interesting to watch and there's never a dull moment. The two main leads have SUCH GOOD CHEMISTRY it feels like they're dating/married even in real life! Both of them have had traumatic experiences in their pasts, but their trauma and experiences feel very real and not dramatized like many other kdramas do. HiP does an excellent job of showing what trauma is actually like and how it affects people (for example, Jae-in's panic disorder).

The two main leads as well as the supporting roles act wonderfully. They take my breath away. One of the most interesting characters is defintely Kim Kwon's character, Lee An's older brother Seung Mo. Seung Mo is a multi-dimensional character who has many faces and aspects of his personality and his past are revealed slowly throughout the entire show. At the start of HiP, he seems quite normal, but his past is shown slowly as pieces of the puzzle start falling in place. I won't elaborate further on this topic as I don't want to include any spoilers, but I really fell in love with Kim Kwon's acting as Seung Mo. He does a phenomenal job playing such a unique character.

One last thing I wanna say is that you shouldn't believe the bad reviews! I know that some people have said it starts off a little slow, but you have to wait patiently for the story to come into full swing. There are also some reviews complaining about the ending, but the ending cannot be looked at objectively. Some people will like it, some people won't. So you have to watch it first before judging it! The last 2 episodes do feel slightly rushed and messily put together, but the rest of the show compensates for that mistake.

I know that this drama is extremely underrated which might make you a little hesitant to watch it. BUT YOU NEED TO WATCH THIS RIGHT NOW!

RIGHT. NOW!

Thank me later <3.

Great Drama! Loved it
fakepersonforme18 November 2019
It is so interesting, I love the plot twists and the chemistry between the actors. It was so fascinating and will capture your attention. I like that he keeps touching stuff and never wears gloves. I like to eat cheetos when I watch it because I know that when i touch stuff I will use my cheeto hands to touch it. So I will not see anything. I think cheeto covered hands are a good idea because the cheeto protects your hand and you can have a snack when you are bored. I would recommend this drama to you all!!

this drama is literally so underrated
seojoonchoi26 January 2021
I really liked this drama a lot, but it's not deserving the hype or recognition it needs. It had everything -- fantasy, mystery, comedy, friendship, romance, thriller, and even bromance LOL. It was nice to see the ML and FL heal each other, and the whole friendship dynamic was cute. Must-watch!!

Interesting premise
leahcubed22 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Lee Lee Ahn (Park Jin-young) is able to see past events by touching the person who experienced the events. He acquired this ability after losing his parents in an apartment fire. He fortuitously meets Yoon Jae-in (Shin Ye-eun) who is the daughter of the accused arsonist and Kang Sung-mo (Kim Kwon) who saved Ahn during the fire. Investigator Eun Ji-soo (Kim Da-som), is like an older sister to Ahn and is also a police investigator, The four team up to solve cases they feel are interrelated including the case that took many of their parents.

Overall I liked the story and the romance was very believable. I was disappointed by some of the twists and unexpected aspects of some of the characters I had come to know. I felt like some things were unnecessary. Some would not have problems with the same - but I like happy and neatly tied up. It is very suspenseful and has a lot of surprising elements. The romance between the two leads is very heartwarming.

What does it mean, a place that exists but a place that doesn't exist?
jgardiner-871-72672922 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
A boy who is able to read the secrets of those whose skin comes into contact with him, and a girl who does everything she can to hide her pain. In the drama, the boy and girl will meet and try to fix, heal, grow, and love from the small and big occurrences that happen in their lives.

He's so clever to read everyone in the school he set off the fire alarm and touched everyone that ran pass him. It's a bit of a hard one to understand you need a bit of a scientific sided brain. It may give you a bit of an headache as you're trying to solve the clues with the psychometric person because clues are implanted in his mind and in it he has to find the answers.

It doesn't help that most people don't understand his talent and he a bit hyperactive and just wants to do his own thing.

Myself I find it fascinating. It's like a puzzle but it's a strain on the brain. Started off a bit slow going but I'm really excited about this drama because it totally different from my own experiences and something brand new. Korean dramas are the best for rejuvenating you brain. Gives you a new leash on life.

Why do they film guys picking their nose???? Yuk! One of my phobias. Can't stand it! Then he gives it to a woman coming to the Police Station. Just so disgusting and gross. This policeman has got a problem and they keep showing it. I can't stand it.

So the three main characters were tenants of the apartment fire now 13 years ago. Sometimes these dramas with flash backs get too repetitive and I just want to move forward on the story. Impatient thats me so I fast forward a bit occasionally. I have missed essential parts of the stories doing that and I have rewatch but I haven't done that on this one ........... yet!

Their experience with the fire is set deep into their minds and influences what they do.

Korea money looks like play money. The two young people (Park Jin-young as Lee Ahn and Shin Ye-eun as Yoon Jae-in people like each other and I wonder if the foster(Kim Kwon as Kang Sung-mo) dad likes her too. He's only 10 years older than them.

But he seems to have Alexithymia:Inability to express emotions. He's stoic, un emotional, matter of facts and sticks to the facts.

The young man Lee Ahn is overaffectionate, huggy and loving. I wanted to write kissy too but that might be going overboard but he's like that with everyone he cares about. Maybe it started with his friend accidentally kissing him. This boy has the most beautiful smile but it doesn't rock my world like Lee Joon Gi. Hahahahaha! Such affectionate kisses he gives and they want to get to the big accident part. Not my words, theirs.

Quote: If this is because of a social prejudice you have against me, to the Librarian she replies It's not a social prejudice but a social convention. Two-timers are unacceptable. The one at the officetel is my brother and the guy earlier is my friend. This, is the girl I like.

Awesome they both can fight. Just love their Martial Arts. They are so funny! Well, I, myself, am a mystery.

Better not kill everyone off now writers you know us as the international viewers, we so hate and loath that type of ending. It makes us go ballistic......... but the ending I'm in the final episode...... Half way through....... I'm not liking it..........so far.........but you'll have find out for yourselves.

How can he not believe her? He has kissed her for goodness sake. I thought he already knew that fact.

What about Noh Jong-hyun as Lee Dae-bong (21 years old)Lee Ahn's best friend. He has been unrequited in love with Kim So-hyun for a since their high school day? She has a daughter. Stupid girl! Doesn't know a good man when she sees one.

Hmm! There is a lot of things to like about this kdrama and some dreary part but it's up to the viewer to make their own judgements. Good luck to you out there.
