Rodriguez is a master

This was Robert Rodriguez's follow up film to El Mariachi, but was released after Desperado. I must say that Rodriguez has some of the best talent as a director. He himself can make big movies with Jerry Bruckheimer. Roadracers is a showcase mainly for Rodriguez because he makes a made for cable movie turn into a movie that should have been on the big screen. Scene stealer Salma Hayek makes her debut here. All I have to say is that Rodriguez needs to make more movies without Tarantino and make his own with a bigger studio like Paramount or Warner Bros. other than Dimension. Rodriguez has a lot of talent and will be remembered better than Tarntino.

Scary Movie (2000)

Gifted Wayans' Know How to Make Movies

Scary Movie at first seemed like it was going to recreate Scream, the movie it is lampooning, but as it went along it got smarter and better. Many lampooning is going on here which includes Sixth sense, I know..., and The Matrix. This movie is good and should be a much deserved hit for the Wayans'.

Bruckheimer Does It Again

Bruckheimer is the master of action. Bruckheimer knows how to please action junkies. With Enemy of the State, Armageddon, The Rock, and Con Air, Bruckheimer can just make anything happen. He makes certain subjects look cool. He rebuffed NASA, NSA, FBI, and he even made transporting prisoners look cool too. Now he is moving on to a new subject: stealing cars. This movie is good and fun. It is the type of movie to where you can just shut your brain off for two hours and enjoy what cinema should be: clean, harmless fun. Nicolas Cage is one of the actors who is pretty good at that. He bounces back from his stupid movie Bringing Out the Dead gracefully. Angelina Jolie who is so dang fine isn't really in it as much as I thought she would be. Other than that enjoy this movie and forget what the critics say about this fun movie.

Romeo Must Die (2000)

Well acted movie with great fight scenes

I went and saw Romeo Must Die with high expectations and I was satisfied with the movie. Jet Li moves gracefully when he fights the bad guys. He shows that not one person can beat him at anything including football. Aaliyah is very beautiful and makes an impressive starring debut. Look forward to seeing her in more movies. The supporting cast was very good which was led by Delroy Lindo, one of the most unsung actors of our time. The directing was very good by Andrezj, I look forward to his new movie with Seagal and DMX. All in all this movie really kicked butt and I look forward to Jet Li's next movie, hopefully The Matrix 2.

The Corruptor (1999)

Good Showcase For Both Actors

The Corruptor is a good film. The movie gives the two actors something: it finally let's Yun-Fat talk more, let's him overact a little, just like the way he captured his audience in HK. The other thing this movie does is that it finally shows that Mark Wahlberg isn't Marky Mark anymore, he has grown up. Great movie, great action and good dialogue.
