Ava (2020)
Absolute tripe
I got through 40 minutes of this and decided that I needed to put the bins out, yes it's that bad. Mindless killing scenes linked by a string of words that follow a typical Hollywood BS script, the sooner Hollywood turns to dust the better because society has absolutely l the plot. Take your bins out or spend time doing something more thrilling.
Leave No Trace (2018)
A real gem of a movie, not one to be missed
Wow, I am so glad I didn't let this movie pass me by. So here I am in 2020 wondering why the world has suddenly gone nuts, making me and I guess many others wonder when our real priorities in life make themselves more obvious and what they are. This movie made my spiritual compass realign with my inner being, it made me smile, it made me cry, it made me stop to think what's really important in life. Absolutely blown away by the acting by the entire cast but a special mention has to go to Thomason McKenzie, she gave an absolutely stunning performance.
Dark Skies (2013)
What a find, great movie
This is a great movie, pleasantly surprised, great acting, great suspense. This is quite a spooky movie and one that I highly recommend.
Stretch (2014)
I'm so damn glad it had to finish
I tried my best, I got 20 minutes to the end but sadly the ending didn't come soon enough so I made up my own ending and it was all just a bad nightmare....if you are stuck for a movie tonight, don't watch this.....watch Kill Me Three Times, now that is what I call a far more enjoyable movie.
Downsizing (2017)
Something very odd
Here I am in 2020, having watched Contagion made in 2011 and now this movie made in 2017 with both movies either extremely good predictions or today's evil people are cherry-picking from past movies to suit their narrative, either way I'd like to have a long chat with Matt Damon as she appeared in both movies. One thing for sure the events of 2020 were planned
The Nightingale (2018)
Stunning, disturbing, gruesome and gripping. Flawless delivery, a movie that is not to be missed
Oh jeez what an incredibly powerful movie this is, the acting is top rate with Aisling Franciosi putting in a breathtaking steller performance along with the wonderful Baykali Ganambarr in his first ever acting role, who'd have thought? The rest of the cast were equally good and I mean equally good and a female director too, well done Jennifer Kent. This movie has some gruesome and disturbing scenes but I'd rather a history lesson be warts and all and not a hollywood fest. This has to be one of the best films I have seen in decades.
RocknRolla (2008)
A movie that just didn't donit for me, a pretentious yawn
I loved movies like Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch but this movie was a movie that just would not end quickly enough. Perhaps it was trying too hard, perhaps it's just becoming a bit too boring and tedious. Not for me, too pretentious and a bit of a yawn
