Spencer (2021)
The movie by one Actress
A movie by one actor, in this case an actress. Amazing Kristen Stewart, wonderful atmosphere. I think she managed to break with the image of Bella from Twilight.
Spencer shows us the fight that Diana is having in her head. The ending is fully satisfactory. If only Princess Diana knew the answer to her question, how will they talk about her in 1000 years, well, I will not live to see this, but 25 years after her death, there is still the Queen of people's hearts.
This movie shows in a very realistic way what problems Diana was struggling with. Living in such a hermetic environment must have caused trauma. Diana just wanted a normal life, wanted to be free, loved, wanted to be able to decide on ordinary things such as what to wear on a given day, she wanted what most of us have at our fingertips.
Spencer allows us viewers to see the royal life from her side, and as you can see, it is not enviable. The movie is full of great and relevant references, it's enjoyable and heavy at the same time, and that's amazing about it.
The Shining (1980)
the limit of madness
The Shining is without a doubt the best horror movie ever made. Many scenes from this movie went down in the history of cinematography. Of course, for good reason. A combination of King's captivating genius, Kubrick's extraordinary talent and charismatic Nicholson. Could it be better?
The shining is definitely a movie for people who like to feel a thrill, but also like a mysterious atmosphere. This is not a classic slasher full of blood or cruelty, but we are dealing here with insanity and madness.
I think that even if someone does not like this genre (horror), it's worth trying. There are no scary scenes that you will dream about at night. You'll rather want more every minute as both Nicholson and Duvall's play are brilliant. It is a timeless film that every cinema lover should watch.
West Side Story (2021)
I can't believe Spielberg is the director
Nothing special to me, I think there are better musicals and there are much better Spielberg's movies. But if you like this form of movies: singing, dancing and love story, you might like the movie. Definitely the set design in this movie is the best thing.
The Batman (2022)
New Batman
Honestly i really enjoyed this movie. I would like to give 7.5/10. Visually it was beautiful. A feast for the eyes. These lights, the colors are wonderful. Another aspect that definitely stood out as a plus was the music, which in my opinion perfectly suited the atmosphere of the movie.
The movie is dark and the atmosphere would be perfect for David Fincher. It is a pity that he did not direct this movie.
I would definitely recommend seeing The Batman in the cinema for those effects and colors, some of the shots are really dreamlike.
However, the ending leaves the question: will there be another part?
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
Time to fix your mistakes
To be honest I wasn't expecting something BIG. Despite the spoilers that were hard to avoid, I was very surprised at some of the scenes. There were tears and many emotions. I love all mcu movies! Even though I'm not a spider man fan, I must admit that it was probably the best Marvel movie! I wholeheartedly recommend everyone to go to the CINEMA for this movie! There is no way that someone will not like it. Just remember about wipes, because they will definitely come in handy.
Dune (2021)
Feast for the eyes
I've never read a Frank Herbert novel, but after watching this movie, I have to do it. The plot of this story is very interesting.
It's been a long time since I have seen a movie with such a breathtaking visual point of view. What the director did in this movie is a masterpiece. After watching the earlier productions of Denis Villeneuve, you could expect something spectacular. He did not disappoint.
You definitely have to watch it on the big screen. There is no other option. The special effects in Dune are amazing!
In my opinion one of the strongest accents of this movie is the music of Hans Zimmer. He's a genius. The music in the movie gives it a mysterious character.
I'm looking forward to the second part!
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)
New hero
Honestly i wasn't expecting something big like infinity war but i have to admit it was a very good movie. Of course, the movie isn't perfect.
I thought that if I don't know the character then I won't have fun, it was quite the opposite. There was a lot of action and a great connection with Ironman also the post-credits scene was stuffing into the armchair.
Now just wait for more Marvel movies.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021)
New era
I think every Captain America fan has been waiting for this show. We all hoped he would be tributed in this series. I do not hide that I was counting on more. Nevertheless, it was good to see how the bond between Sam and Buck developed.
Personally, I was hoping for an explanation of what happened to Cap after the endgame, but maybe more will be explained in other mcu productions. I hope so!
However, I appreciate the development of mcu's supporting characters.
Jestem morderca (2016)
Is it possible to sympathize with the murderer?
A film based on real events entitled "Jestem Morderca" by Maciej Pieprzyc takes place in the 1970s. It can be safely said that it is full of communist props, for which people responsible for design can definitely be praised. Throughout the screening, you can feel the atmosphere of those times, for example through the ever-rising, thick clouds of cigarette smoke.
The plot tells about an investigation modeled on the so-called a vampire from Zaglebia who murdered 14 women and tried to kill 6. Here you can accuse the director of not using the real name of the murderer - Zdzislaw Marchwicki. If the story is based on facts, then such an important detail as the name of the main antagonist should be true. However, this is not something that detracts from the plot of the film.
The film directed by Pieprzyc shows the story of a serial killer, but does not arouse hatred or disgust towards the character played by Arkadiusz Jakubiak. No circumstantial evidence confirms his guilt, which is why, when he is visiting his family and when his children are interrogated in the courtroom, the viewer sympathizes with him more than accuses him. It is shown in a more human way. It's hard to believe that a man who acts like this could commit so many horrible crimes.
As for the main character, it is the policeman who leads the case - Jasinski, who undergoes a transformation throughout the film. At the very beginning, it is a slightly lost man who somehow found himself in that place. From a good husband and father, he becomes responsible for finding a serial killer, which becomes his target at all costs.
At first, his relationship with the accused seems good, it can even be said that Wieslaw Kalicki trusts him only. The main character has mixed feelings about the defendant's guilt throughout the film. We see how he beats his thoughts. Is the man he captures the one he is really looking for? Would that be the behavior of a serial killer? However, these are questions that will never be answered.
In the film, the ending of the film may seem to be a big surprise, which unfortunately does not leave an open gate for the viewers' imagination and presents everything on a tray, thanks to the epilogue that we see right after the execution on the alleged "Vampire". The execution of the convict itself is a fairly strong scene, the atmosphere of which is certainly added by the fact that no music was used or no dialogues were introduced to this scene, only the sounds of the surroundings - sloping boards and the whir of the engine. These elements definitely build the tension in this scene, as well as the attitude of the convict who surrenders to what awaits him without saying a word.
Rick and Morty (2013)
animations not only for children
Anyone who is a fan of black humor and animation will love this series! I promise.
Additionally, if you've watched a lot of iconic movies, you'll catch them.
Green Book (2018)
I've seen it somewhere before
American version of the Intouchables (2011).
This movie deals with important topics such as racism.
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
Time to say goodbye
This is my favorite mcu movie! 11/10
I know that the rest mcu fan prefere infinity war but this movie is so touching and this is the last time when i can see my favorite character.
Anyway I love this movie 3000!
Loki (2021)
The god of madness
Loki series is visually a masterpiece, these colors. OMG!
Technically, it's definitely the best MCU series.
Episode four and five - something beautiful.
I'm very curious what the creators will come up with in season two and how much influence Loki will have on other MCU productions, because after the end we can expect a continuation in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
I can't wait!
WandaVision (2021)
What is a grief?
WandaVision is proof that a superhero series can be a very high standard: intrigues, amuses and touch.
A must for any MCU fan!
Black Widow (2021)
Little sister - better sister
Big applause to Scarlett for a wonderful eleven years as Black Widow, if it weren't for her, maybe we wouldn't love this character so much.
A must for any MCU fan and the last chance to say goodbye to character.
A Quiet Place (2018)
Speech is silver, silence is gold
Great idea - silence. I haven't seen such good "horror" movie long time ago.
This is something fresh and intriguing.
I'm glad there's Part 2, because I still have a lot of questions.
Big applause for John Krasinski.
Even if you don't like this genre, I recommend you try it.
This is not a movie after which you will be afraid to go to the bathroom at night. I promise.
Saving Private Ryan (1998)
The value of one life
When i watched this movie, the first question that came to my mind was "is the life of one soldier worth more than the rest?". The truth is we won't know the answer to that question.
This movie is the master's masterpiece. Spielberg showed the war very realistically.
He was not afraid to show us cruelty, severed limbs or guts on top.
This film not only presents the true picture of the war, but shows brotherhood, courage and sacrifice. There are also opposing features such as betrayal, falsehood and fear.
But who among us wouldn't be afraid if we looked death straight in the eye every day?
The question that Ryan asked at the end can be asked by everyone, because we wouldn't be here if someone hadn't sacrificed something for us.
Has our life been worthy of sacrifice by those who sacrifice themselves for us?
Inception (2010)
Masterpiece of genius
I am speechless! This movie is so deeply, complex and metaphoric. Everyone who loves cinema have to watch this movie. It's such brillant.
To be truly fair, this is one of the best movie in the whole history of cinematography.
Nolan is just a genius and no one can say he's not. I can't believe that still he hasn't got any Oscar.
A Beautiful Mind (2001)
Can we believe our eyes?
This movie is so touching and beautiful, shows us how hard is living with mental disease and how this disease destroys the mind of man.
I cannot believe that Russell Crowe didn't get the Oscar for this brillant role, his creation of this role in a Beautiful Mind was such incredible and very authentic.
I think that everyone should watch this movie.
