Jaws (1975)
The perfect action movie
Jaws isn't just a fun action movie , with a lot of special effects and a lot of graphic violence , it's a movie where you can actually fell that a lot of heart went into , not just by crafting the tension and setting up the action scenes but by actually building up all the characters and making you care about them .Somehow spielberg not only made the first blockbuster and one of the most important movies ever, but he managed to make one of the most impressive movies ever not only from a technical level, but also of the story and direction, making jaws one of the best movies ever made.
12 Angry Men (1957)
PERFECT
I don't usually say this very often, but this movie is indeed perfect . Not only in terms of storytelling but also cinematography and camera movement, this film does it all. It's start with an interesting premise , that is executed flawlessy , with a lot of very suspenful and very satisfyng scenes and by the end , you will be pleasantly surprised from all points of view. This movie not only tells a very good story on paper, but also the camera that tells its own story being accompanied by the play of the actors, which is again perfect. So we have a flawless story, a 10 out of 10 cinematografy and one of the best performances I've ever seen, it's impossible not to say that 12 angry old men is one of the best movies ever made.
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
The perfect ending
After 11 years of building and development, the end of this saga finally here, and does it deliver the potential it could reach? The answer is YES. Endgame is not only one of the best superhero movies , but a great movie in general with a lot of epic and satisfying moments for fans, but also for the average marvel enjoyers who just want to disconnect from the real world for 3 hours and see a good movie. Is it a perfect movie? Absolutely not. The film leaves a lot of question marks about the time travel rules who practically is the main premise of the movie and although it does explain some questions in some ways , it's still remain kinda unclear in some moments and there are still a lot of inconsistencies that are not well explained and that kinda drag the movie down. These are mainly my problems with this film, but now let's talk about the good parts, and they are a lot. This film is very well pased, being impossible to get bored, and although following so many narrative threads, the film never feels messy, probably due to the development of all the characters in all the other years. All this leads to the last 30 minutes which are of continuous action which although it offers us some more useless moments, like the marvel women assembly, at the same time we have some of the best moments from a movie ever. Avengers endgame is probably a movie that will be talked about in another 10 years and with an emotional impact that will hardly touch you like here.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
A bunch of fun
After hearing the leaks and seeing the trailers I thought it was going to be a stupid but fun movie with a weird story, a lot of fan service and references, but instead I got a movie that is taken seriously but also fun with some good action scenes accompanied by an incredible CGi and a very good story, which although based on fan service, is very well executed, and although despite all the characters and references, the film still feels like it has a tone own . This movie had no buisness being this good, being not able just to tell a compeling story but also satisfy the fans from all over the world. The movie isn't perfect, with a few plot holes that make me ask myself a few questions, but what bothers me is that it didn't reach the maximum emotional potential it could have, but even so, I still think I ran a tear or 2 a few times, such as the scene where aunt may die or the reunion between Peter and dock ock. What stands out the villains of this film, and especially the dialogue between them, and especially the scenes with the 3 spidermans, making not only some comedy scenes but also some even emotional ones such as the scene in which the 3 are talking about their future after the movies, about the people they lost and what responsibilities they mean, releasing the movie very high, not to mention the performance of wiliem Dafoe as Green Goblin, giving us one of the coolest villains ever created.
Children of Men (2006)
A modern masterpiece
There's not much wrong with this movie. Cinematography and the camera direction is on point making one of the best directed films ever made, being made up of a bunch of long one take scenes, some of them lasting even over 5 minutes, and some making me wonder how to it was possible to achieve them. Another thing that stands out is of course the story. It's a very interesting premise, being executed very well, with a potential being reached almost to the maximum, presenting a dark post-apocalyptic world, built very well, with an end that you can somewhat predict, but you can't know how the story will unfold until that moment, being surprised of some interesting twists, incredibly choreographed action and a very well crafted script. Children of Men is not only a modern classic, but also an almost perfect movie making it one of the best of the century, but arguably one of the best movies ever made and I would recommend anyone to watch it.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018)
Almost perfect
This film not only has the humor , one of the most original animation styles and one of the best soundtrack, but also an almost perfect story except for a few minor issues through the middle of the film, well-constructed characters, a very good direction and more perfect comedy ,chosen for fans. This is a visual masterpiece, not only thanks to the perfect cinematography, but also to the original style of animation, making this film look like a comick book, being completed by the action scenes, which although few, are very well choreographed and well built. After all this it is impossible not to say that Into the Spider verse is not only one of the best superhero movies, but also one of the best animations ever made, and arguably one of the best movies put on big screen.
