My first song in a Movie!
Long before the platinum records, though i did have a few gold ones, I wrote and sang a song for this fun film. It has a giant cult following and still is picking up new young fans. Now, two of the girls are stars, so i still get royalty checks, 20 years later. Fun to see what i did at 17, still alive and well. this film is no "breakfast club", but what is? this is a cute, fun, innocent 80's teen flick. it is very well done and had a good budget. 3 teenage girls out for a summer adventure. it is not meant to be taken seriously and you will enjoy it as long as you are not expecting peter o'toole doing Shakespeare. if you find an old record or the foreign video, i would die, and pay to have it in my collection. Sit back and clear your mind and enjoy not having to worry about plot twists or who gets the girl. sometimes we need to simply have fun, and this movie is fun as well as silly, just as the director meant it to be. please do not contact me to ask my "celeb" name. i am on the IMDb under my birth name which i only use for celebrity audio projects i do for charity and this, my first film credit. boy, my grandparents were happy to see my name ;-) cheers, craig braginsky
The Passion of the Christ (2004)
One Disturbed Man, One disturbing Movie!
I will be brief. Mel Gibson has buried himself. His career is essentially over. The new "Mad max" canceled. The funds made from "Christ" will never see Mel's
pocket, it will stay in the court system until the end of time. No one I know, and I know everyone in "Hollywood" will work for or with him. His film, an obvious
attempt to stir Anti-Semites and rewrite and already idiotic mythology, has
failed. After seeing this film and hearing his interviews, it is painfully obvious that Mel is quite mad and full of hate. This film is also quite mad and full of hate. Mel, a former boozer and drug addict, who's father is a Nazi revisionist, now believes that god lives in his Malibu estate. The foolishly curious made this poorly
directed snuff film much more successful. I hope they do not buy the DVD! I am Christian, and ashamed that the lies perpetrated in this film are believed, though only by a mere 9 percent of the audience (who account for purchasing over 50% of all tickets sold. All you will take home from this film is a glimpse into the mind of a sick, blood thirsty, meglomaniacal Mel.nothing more...maybe less. In so far as this being a film about Christ.......Christ was a JEW, filled with love and compassion. you will not find that here. Back to the film now. Nice
cinematography. The rest, pure garbage. Miracles on the set says Mel. A shame God didn't write this film..oh, mel thinks he did! As reference, all Christianity is a distorted mythology taken directly from the ancient Greek and roman myths. Disagee? I could not care less!
In the Mouth of Madness (1994)
brilliant!
unquestionably one of the best "intellectual" horror films.
I have seen it over 30 times and never fail to be terrified. wonderful performances from sam neill, jurgen prochnow and david warner. the film is based on an h.p. lovecraft story. if you enjoy bad horror eg: halloween, friday the 13th...steer clear. if you enjoy great horror eg; the shining, haunted, the others, hellraiser,etc... you will love this film. nothing is overdone and much is left to the imagination. enjoy the fright!
Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966)
Finest film ever made
Richard Burton, the finest actor to ever grace the silver screen gives his finest performance.
Liz Taylor, usually a dreadful actress, gives a brilliant performance.
What more can I say than PERFECTION.
Miss this masterpiece and you miss a glorious moment that makes all the world brighter (though the film is so very dark).
George Segal and Sandy Dennis are perfect in their parts. The screenplay has
the finest dialogue you will ever chance to hear. The direction from first time director Mike Nichols is unsurpassed. Enjoy!
Dreamchild (1985)
Pure Genius From Dennis Potter
I will be short. This is unquestionably one of the finest films ever made and certainly a love story to rival Antony and Cleopatra. The movement between Alice in old age, youth and fantasy is seemless. The acting superb. The writing, needless to say, genius. Miss this film and you miss the most touching and true story ever. This film was never meant to be an "Alice in Wonderland", it is about the glorius Lewis Carroll and Alice Liddell. Enjoy!
