Love It or List It (2008–2023)

A wake up call to renovation
6 January 2017
I disagree with all the negative hype. The show is realistic in pointing out that older homes often have hidden issues. The disappointment when the remodel goes astray may be sincere or faked, but in the end, bring homes the truth. I find it amazing how often the buyers decide to stay even though there wish list couldn't be completed. Immediately sure they look at far more than 3 new houses but for the sake of time only show the 3. If you've ever worked in real estate, the term "Buyers are Liars!!" This show proves that that "must have lists" become shorter. We don't always know what we want and like most things in life, learn what are priorities really are. Love the interaction, tongue in cheek, between these hosts.

Hateful Eight

Warning: Spoilers
A long time Tarantino fan, I was not disappointed. Yes, I agree, it's not a 10, but the characters are interesting and it moves along keeping viewers on their toes trying to figure out the who's really who; something you question starting within the first 10 minutes. Although I normally am not a fan of excessive violence, for some baffling reason, I am not turned away by it in his productions. When it happens, it's over the top.(Not unlike the Roadrunner and Wylie Coyote.) It is, after-all, a Tarantino production. And FYI a big screen theater is not needed to enjoy it. The outdoor scenes are so limited, the panorama lost is offset by the ability of pausing a DVD for snacks and bathroom breaks. Put it on your list.

NCIS: New Orleans (2014–2021)

Patience can change your perspective of the characters

Warning: Spoilers
Although, as of now, it is my least favorite of the NCIS series, after reading some of the comments regarding "all the hating" I can only comment:Keep your pants on and let things settle in. I think the network erred by rushing things from the get go. We're all use to the smooth interaction with Gibbs and his cohorts. Likewise with the LA gang. But most of us thought the death of Kate, played by Sasha Alexander was likely to spell 'cancelled' for the NCIS, certain that no one could step in and fill her shoes. Yet it not only survived, it flourished, with one of TV most loved characters possibly of all time: Ziva, who earned her permanent spot no later than the 3rd episode. I will admit some discord with LA and the addition of Deeks, who took somewhat longer to fit i, but they gave him a reason to be there and a reason to stay. It was not really clear for Sonja. IMO she's had to overcome the networks errors of either not giving the original group enough time to meld together themselves nor starting out with them from the beginning. Her part was dropped on us. She didn't get there very naturally. I think we/she just need to hang in there. (Although how tough is it to be the worst show of one of the best franchise of all time?) And for the record, I love the reincarnation of Sasha Alexander in Rizzoli and Isles. Kudos for showing her ability to play two very diverse characters.
