My Best Supporting Actor Winners

by jmpatison003 | created - 21 Aug 2011 | updated - 03 Feb 2014 | Public

This list details those supporting actor performances that I felt were the best. Sometimes these choices stray from those of the Academy Awards and those of other people as these are purely based on opinion. I have tried my best to look at all actors in the same light and not trying to compensate someone for not giving them one the previous year. The years covered are 1928 through the present, though the category has only existed since 1936. I have also included whether or not my winner was nominated and/or won the Academy Award for that particular direction as well as the other films/actors/directors I would have nominated alongside my winner. The nominees are listed in PREFERENTIAL ORDER. If you have a comment, disagreement, question about justification of one of my choices, recommendations, and etc. please leave a polite comment and I'll try to respond to the best of my ability. I hope you enjoy. Note: For Nominees, * denotes category nominee, ** denotes category winner, ^ denotes leading category nominee, and ^^ denotes leading category winner for actual Academy Awards.
