Star Wars: A New Jedi Order - Animated TV Series

Star Wars Rebels is about to end, and it left a lot to wish. It was still a great series like The Clone Wars, but now that it's ending, this would be the story I would like to see in the small screen now. What happens between episodes 6 and 7 focusing on Luke and the new Jedi Order, Leia and Han and the rise of the Knights Of Ren

The first 2 seasons of the show are set somewhere around 7 ABY to 12 ABY and there would be a time jump in season 3 to 22 ABY. The show focuses on Luke, Han, Leia and Ben (Kylo) as main characters and would also have many returning characters from the Original Trilogy and some from the New Trilogy.

The show would be made by the same crew as The Clone Wars and Rebels, but would have a little more mature tone than Rebels, something more reminiscent as the original films

The show would explore concepts such as the formation of the New Republic, the remnants of the Empire, the Acolytes (from the Aftermath books), the New Jedi Order and how the characters we know have changed since ROTJ.

Additional Note: Episode 1 of Season 3 would focus on young Ben Solo in his training and how he starts feeling abandoned and starts using his anger more. We'll see a montage of him training and growing up. Taking us from 12 ABY to 22 ABY

1. Mark Hamill

Actor | Star Wars

Mark Hamill is best known for his portrayal of Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars trilogy - Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977), Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980), and Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983) - a role he reprised in Star Wars: Episode VII - ...

Luke Skywalker

Luke Skywalker has grown to become a Jedi Master, a wise and powerful warrior.

A year has passed since ROTJ, and Luke has become a much wiser and skilled Jedi. He fights with the New Republic against what is left of the Empire, but he also searches for Jedi artifacts across the Galaxy and forms a New Jedi Order by the end of Season 1.

(Mark Hamill is one of my favorite voice actors ever, he is extremely talented, and who in the right mind would get someone else to play Luke Skywalker when the actual Luke is an amazing voice actor).

2. Anthony Ingruber

Actor | Batman: The Enemy Within

Anthony Ingruber is a voice and screen actor with an international upbringing, who first gained global attention through his widely popular YouTube channel of impressions. After studying film acting at the Wellington Performing Arts Centre, Ingruber worked briefly at 'Weta Workshop [NZ]', where he ...

Han Solo

Now married to Senator Leia Organa he's a Republic hero and pilot of the now warship Millenium Falcon. He's on a search for finding what's left of the empire along with his wife and Luke Skywalker.

(In this account I have made it no secret that I admire Anthony for his great impressions and voice acting, and the role of Han Solo is one that he was born for. He's extremely talented and sounds exactly like Ford and now that he's dedicated to voice acting, he is the perfect choice for the role).

3. Misty Lee

The Last of Us

Misty Lee was born in Mount Clemens, Michigan, USA. She is an actress and producer, known for The Last of Us (2023), God of War: Ragnarök - Valhalla (2023) and Asgard's Wrath 2 (2023). She has been married to Paul Dini since October 31, 2005.

Senator Leia Organa

A senator of the New Republic. Leia assisted in the formation of a New Republic. She disagreed with the proposal of disarming the Republic's army as she believes that the remnants of the Empire could not be trusted so she has taken upon herself, along with Skywalker and Solo to find what is left of the Empire that cannot be trusted.

(Battlefront 2 just came out and hearing Misty Lee as Leia really shocked me, her impression is almost spot on and she could really pull Leia off in an animated TV Series)

4. Matthew Mercer

Actor | Thundercats

Matthew Mercer is a Los Angeles-based actor best known for his roles in animation and video games, as well as the massively popular hit show and media brand, Critical Role.

Critical Role has become one of the most popular storytelling and world building independent media companies in the world, and ...

Ben Solo

Given the name Ben Solo, he was born in 5 ABY on the planet Chandrilla to Senator Leia Organa and General Han Solo, whose busy lives left Ben with feelings of abandonment. This was exploited by the Supreme Leader, who tempted him to the dark side of the Force. Though Organa hoped training with Skywalker would help her son, he was seduced to the dark side, destroyed his fellow Jedi students, and became one of the Knights of Ren, earning the moniker of "Jedi Killer" amongst the First Order ranks.

(I highly doubt that Adam Driver would play Kylo Ren in an animated series, but it would be awesome if he could. If he couldn't I would pick Matthew Mercer as he played Kylo in Battlefront 2 and sounded pretty well. I really like his performances, especially his performance as Tim Drake in Arkham Knight, so I think he could really give us an entertaining take on Ben Solo, after the time jump in Season 3)

5. Laura Bailey

Actress | The Legend of Vox Machina

Laura Bailey is an award-winning Los Angeles-based voice actor known for her roles in animation and video games, as well as the massively popular hit show and media brand, Critical Role.

Critical Role has become one of the most popular storytelling and world building independent media companies in ...

Mara Jade Skywalker

Taken by Palpatine during her childhood and raised as a servant to him, she became a high-level force-using operative. As an Emperor's Hand, Jade carried out the Emperor's bidding, killing Rebels and corrupt Imperials alike with cold professionalism, even as a young woman. As Palpatine's assasin, she received top-notch training from experts in a variety of fields as well as training in the Force. After Palpatine's death she went rogue and became a smuggler, but she would continue to try and kill Luke Skywalker.

After confronting Skywalker, he would offer her to become his apprentice and become a member of the new Jedi order. She would eventually marry Skywalker but she would be killed by Ben Solo, now Kylo Ren.

(I love Mara Jade, and with a couple of tweaks I think her character could very easily fit the current Star Wars canon)

(Laura Bailey is a very talented voice actress and she has that tone to her voice that really sells the bad girl turned good, much like her performance of Catwoman in Batman The Telltale Series. In my opinion she is the indicated person to bring life to this iconic Legends character

6. Billy Dee Williams

Actor | Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back

Billy Dee Williams was born William December Williams on April 6, 1937 in New York City. Billy Dee has notched up an impressive array of film and television appearances over the past 50+ years. He is easily best known to international film audiences as the roguish Lando Calrissian in the last two ...

Lando Calrissian

A general in the fight of the New Republic against the remnants of the Empire, Lando has returned to Cloud Cuty but he still serves as an ally to Luke, Han and Leia in the battle for the New Republic

(Billy Dee came back to the role in both Rebels and Battlefront, so I personally think that his return would be amazing to a show like this, since the possibilities of seeing him in the New Trilogy are quite low)

7. Stephen Stanton

Actor | Rogue One

Stephen Stanton is an American actor & filmmaker best known for his work as a voice actor and voicematch artist. He has portrayed a wide variety of characters in Lucasfilm's Star Wars franchise most notably as Admiral Raddus in "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story", Ben Kenobi in "Star Wars: Rebels", and ...

Ben Kenobi (Force Ghost)

(Stanton did an amazing job portraying Obi Wan in Star Wars Rebels, his Alec Guinness impression was spot on. I personally think that Ben's force ghost is a most for this show, and Stanton is the man for the job)

8. Lars Mikkelsen

Actor | Headhunter

Lars was born in Gladsaxe near Copenhagen, Denmark as the first child of Bente Christiansen, an occupational health nurse, and Henning Mikkelsen, a bank clerk. Lars grew up in Copenhagen, where about one and a half years after him brother Mads was born, who's also an actor now. At first the family ...

Grand Admiral Thrawn

Leader of the remnants of the Empire, he returned in 7 ABY to take control of the remaining Imperial forces and crush the New Republic.

(Thrawn works perfectly to be the main antagonist of Season 1 of this series to fill his role in Legends so that Luke, Han and Leia's fight against the remains of the Empire follows the Heir to the Empire novel and the Thrawn trilogy a bit closer to finally give this character his deserved role and giving us a satisfying death)

(Lars Mikkelsen would be reprising his role of Thrawn in this series, as it is part of the same crew that made Rebels)

9. Grey Griffin

Actress | Batman: Arkham City

Grey Griffin was born in Fort Ord, California. She is a singer and well-known voice actress. She was raised by her grandmother through her difficult childhood because her mother was a drug addict. Her grandmother was a singer and performed often with Tito Puente. Grey was highly interested in goth ...

Maz Kanata

A Force-sensitive humanoid female who was born over a millennium before the brewing war between the First Order and the Resistance. Living in an ancient castle on the planet Takodana, Kanata gained a reputation as a "pirate queen" by allowing traveling smugglers to reside in her home. Kanata spent centuries traveling the galaxy, collecting antiques and trinkets which she kept inside the storehouses and vaults of her castle.

(Grey DeLisle is a very talented voice actress, and as proven in Battlefront 2 she can pull off a great Maz Kanata impression, so I think she would be perfect for the role)

10. Anthony Daniels

Actor | Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens

Initially not a science fiction fan, theatre actor Anthony Daniels was persuaded by his agent to meet George Lucas for the casting of C-3PO in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977). He went on to perform the character, both his voice and body in the suit, for all the episodic Star Wars films ...

C-3PO

No introduction needed

(Anthony Daniels has return for the C-3PO role on many occasions, including Rebels and The Clone Wars, so this show wouldn't really be the exception)

11. Tom Kane

Actor | Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Tom started doing voiceover work professionally at the age of 15, in his hometown of Kansas City. By the time he got out of college he had done several hundred commercials, then he moved to Hollywood and started landing Movie Trailers, Network Promos, Games, Feature Films and Cartoons.

First came ...
