With the rumors of the new Joker Standalone film, here is my take on the cast and plot of the story

Notes:

  • The origin story would follow the one from The Killing Joke
  • Most of The Story will be told with flashbacks and narration from The Joker himself.
  • The story is being narrated to Harleen Quinzel, his psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum
  • The atmosphere follows that of The Animated Series and Arkham Asylum
  • The Joker's character design will be inspired by The Killing Joke and Batman Dead End
  • The feel of everything that happens before the vat of chemicals incident will feel like a 1920's movie
  • The movie will be very psychological and told in a similar way as fan film Patient J

I will be editing

1. Anthony Ingruber

Actor | Batman: The Enemy Within

Anthony Ingruber is a voice and screen actor with an international upbringing, who first gained global attention through his widely popular YouTube channel of impressions. After studying film acting at the Wellington Performing Arts Centre, Ingruber worked briefly at 'Weta Workshop [NZ]', where he ...

Jack Napier/The Joker

An unsuccessful stand-up comedian who used to work in one of Ace Chemicals' plants turned mad after an accident killed his family and worked for the mob in a failed job in which he fell to a vat of chemicals that left him scarred, turned his skin white and his hair green.

Driven insane by this series of events he embraced it, believing that the greatest joke of all is that humanity is only "one bad day" away from total insanity.

(Anthony is an amazing actor, he grew up during impressions for YouTube and has gained a lot of recognition recently, starring in films like Age Of Adaline. He also has impressions of The Joker and he actually plays the Joker character in Batman: The Telltale Series, with a new original amazing take on the character. He could definitely nail The Joker in voice and he can definitely look the part, look up his Joker impressions if you do not believe me. He could really make a great live action Joker. He has the age to play a young Joker and he's the man for the role).

2. Amanda Seyfried

Actress | Les Misérables

Amanda Seyfried was born and raised in Allentown, Pennsylvania, to Ann (Sander), an occupational therapist, and Jack Seyfried, a pharmacist. She is of German, and some English and Scottish, ancestry. She began modeling when she was eleven, and acted in high school productions as well as taking ...

Harleen Quinzel

An Arkham Asylum psychiatrist, who became obsessively fixated on her patient, The Joker, who she held sympathy for and believed herself to be in love with him. She would eventually help him escape from confinement and take on her own criminal identity as Harley Quinn. A violent and unpredictable felon whose only motivation, beyond general mayhem, was achieving the Joker’s approval. Because of the Joker's cruel and mercurial nature, this in some ways made Quinn just another one of his victims - albeit a very dangerous one.

(A really hard choice since Margot Robbie is almost perfect, but Amanda is not just a good actress but she looks the part and has the age to play her and I'm sure she could pull it off).

3. Martin Scorsese

Producer | Killers of the Flower Moon

Martin Charles Scorsese was born on November 17, 1942 in Queens, New York City, to Catherine Scorsese (née Cappa) and Charles Scorsese, who both worked in Manhattan's garment district, and whose families both came from Palermo, Sicily. He was raised in the neighborhood of Little Italy, which later ...

Producer

(He's been rumored to be producing this movie)

4. Paul Dini

Writer | Batman Beyond

Paul Dini is an American animator and writer known for his contributions to DC Comics, including Batman: The Animated Series, Gotham Girls and fan favorite character Harley Quinn. He also worked on Batman: Arkham Asylum and it's sequel Batman: Arkham City as well as a 2003 animated pilot based on ...

Writer

(The heart of The Animated Series, alongside with Bruce Timm. He is an amazing writer and knows these characters better than anyone. He also wrote Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, proving he could also write a more mature Batman story, if The Animated Series wasn't mature enough for you).
