The video shoot for Rm’s latest single, “Come Back to Me,” took an unexpected turn when the BTS member had to make a stop at the hospital following an injury on set. He only needed a few stitches, but video director Lee Sung Jin told The Hollywood Reporter that the incident felt far more serious to him.

Thunderbolts* remains one of Marvel Studios' most mysterious and intriguing upcoming movies, with that asterisk only serving to heighten anticipation for a project many believe is secretly Dark Avengers.
There are perhaps a few too many heroes on the team for that to happen, with it currently looking a lot like a sequel to Black Widow and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
In the latter, Bucky Barnes was fully freed from his Winter Soldier programming and now seems to be working with the CIA as part of this government-approved team. Rumour has it his role in Thunderbolts* isn't massive, leading to concerns this could be where the hero's story ends.
We'll see, but a new set photo has surfaced today showcasing Bucky's overhauled appearance.
He's not suited up but is wearing a traditional suit and rocking a pretty mean goatee. Is he undercover or just shaking up his appearance?...

Beef creator Lee Sung Jin says he’s enjoying the opportunities his Emmy-winning Netflix series has brought him — including his latest project: directing a music video for BTS superstar Rm.
Lee collaborated with Rm on “Come Back to Me,” a beautifully shot six-minute music video that feels like a short film. The song, which begins with an acoustic vibe and includes whistle sounds and guitar riffs, was released Friday and is a departure for the BTS member. The song appears on his upcoming sophomore solo album, Right Place, Wrong Person, out May 24.
“It’s so sneakily catchy. I heard it once and then all day long I was humming it to myself. I’m like, ‘Man, that is an earworm. It just gets in there,’” Lee says of the song.

Rm of BTS has released a new single, titled “Come back to me,” ahead of his full-length project, Right Place, Wrong Person.
Nearly seven minutes long, the expansive track was accompanied by a music video framed more as a short film — directed by Lee Sung Jin, creator of Netflix’s Beef, the visual was teased with movie posters. The music video co-stars South Korean actress Kim Minha, who recently gained international recognition for her role in the Apple TV+ series Pachinko.
Although all the members of BTS are still in the midst of enlistment (with just over a month remaining until Jin’s discharge date), Rm recorded and prepared Right Place, Wrong Person prior to leaving to complete his mandatory time in the South Korean military. It’s been a ride for “Beef” creator, writer and director Lee Sung Jin and the cast — the series dominated the Emmy Awards with five wins, and nabbed two SAG Awards for stars Ali Wong and Steven Yeun.
While a second season has yet to be announced, Lee is making good use of his Notes app, inspired by his surroundings.
Lee spoke with Variety about his year and receiving Gold House’s Icon Award.
It’s been a year since “Beef” dropped on Netflix and became this phenomenon, what have the past 12 months been like for you?
The last 12 months have been quite a roller coaster. A lot of high highs — getting to go through the release and awards season with Steve and Ali and all our collaborators, it’s felt really special. They’re some of my best friends now, and to be able to experience that together was really wonderful.

The David Hemingson-scripted Alexander Payne dramedy The Holdovers and Cord Jefferson’s American Fiction were the big film winners at the strike-delayed 2024 Writers Guild Awards, which were handed out Sunday in Los Angeles and New York.
Jefferson — who also was honored with the WGA West’s Paul Selvin Award — followed his Oscar win for Adapted Screenplay as the WGA’s weird, wild and elongated Awards season wrapped with simultaneous ceremonies on both coasts. Hemingson scored a modicum of revenge for losing the Original Screenplay Academy Award to Justine Triet and Arthur Harari for Anatomy of a Fall.
The latter script, however, wasn’t eligible for a Writers Guild Award. That’s because, unlike other guilds, the WGA deems ineligible any scripts for movies not produced under its Minimum Basic Agreement or a bona fide collective bargaining agreement with various affiliated countries.
Later, the Documentary prize went to Errol Morris...

Beef 2 Reported Cast Update & More(Photo Credit –IMDb)
The Netflix series Beef, starring Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, impressed critics and viewers with its dark comedy, fantastic storyline, and outstanding performances. The first season came out in April last year, and it has grabbed some of the major awards at the Emmys this year. Luckily for the fans, the fun won’t end with season 1. Apparently, there will be Beef 2, and big names like Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal are being eyed for the main cast.
What is Beef about?
It is about a failing contractor and an unfulfilled entrepreneur, sparking a feud after a road rage incident between them. However, there is also an underlying depression. They require psychological solace but refuse to get conventional help. The series has an 8/10 rating on IMDb. Many critics call it one of the best series of the year.

It looks like the popular drama series Beef is heading down the anthology route as a brand-new (and very impressive) cast comes together for its second season.
Netflix’s Beef, created by Lee Sung Jin, was one of last year’s breakout hits on the streaming platform. The ten episode drama featured Stephen Yeun and Ali Wong as its twin leads told a self-contained tale of two ordinary people that let an everyday moment of frustration boil up into something much darker and destructive.
Sung Jin is now putting together the casting for season two of the show, which looks like it will go down the anthology route and tell an entirely different story.
Given the critical acclaim that the first season was able to build up, it looks like Sung Jin is going to be able to call on some pretty prestigious names too: according to Deadline, the core...

Netflix hasn’t officially pulled the trigger on Beef season 2, but when it does, it could come with a star-studded cast. According to Deadline, the new season will revolve around two feuding couples. Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway are being eyed to play one of the couples, and Charles Melton (May December) and Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla) are being eyed for the other.
As it’s still early on in the process, Deadline admits that there are no deals in place yet but added that the scripts for Beef season 2 were recently turned in. Should everything move ahead, production on the new season could get underway by later summer or fall. Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway have appeared together several times before, most notably in Brokeback Mountain and Love & Other Drugs, so it would be fun to see them share the screen again.

Exclusive: When Beef creator and EP Lee Sung Jin accepted the umpteenth award for the limited series at Sunday’s Spirit Awards, he said he underestimated the enjoyment of the dopamine that comes with winning, and that he will miss it.
Maybe not. The Dish hears that he is circling cast for a second season of the Netflix and A24 show, and he’s got some beefcake thesps circling.
We hear that the storyline this time will revolve around two feuding couples. May December revelation Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny, a revelation in Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla, are being courted to play one of the couples. Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway are the other names we hear. The latter meshed nicely in both the Ang Lee-directed Brokeback Mountain and the Ed Zwick-directed Love & Other Drugs.

“Succession,” “The Bear,” and “Beef.” If this group of names sounds familiar, dear readers, then you too may have an addiction to awards shows. (Don’t worry: The only unwanted side effects are fatigue and making far too granular references to Pedro Pascal at dinner parties.) HBO’s outgoing drama series, “Succession,” FX and Hulu’s surging pseudo-comedy, “The Bear,” and Netflix’s one-and-done limited series “Beef” have dominated the winter awards cycle. It was “Succession,” “The Bear,” and “Beef” winning Best Series trophies at the Emmys. The Golden Globe Awards honored the same trio in the same categories, and even Saturday’s SAG ceremony — where Pedro Pascal stole the spotlight as easily as he stole his table-mate’s shoes — saw “The Bear,” “Beef,” and, yes, “Succession” triumph in major categories.

The 2024 Film Independent Spirit Awards on Sunday awarded A24’s Past Lives its Best Feature and the film’s Celine Song the Best Director in a ceremony on the beach in Santa Monica, giving the indie romantic drama a boost as it heads toward the Oscars where it is up for Best Picture.
Past Lives topped a marquee Best Feature category that included Netflix’s May December, Amazon MGM Studios’ American Fiction, Searchlight’s All of Us Strangers, Sony Pictures Classics’ We Grown Now and Mubi’s Passages.
“There is a concept in our film, an Eastern concept, and it’s called inyeon,” Song, making her feature directorial debut, said in her acceptance speech with her producers and cast. “It is about how just by being in the same space and time in this life, it means we actually knew each other for many, many lives that came before this one.

Word on the street is that you'll want to steer clear when Steven Yeun and Ali Wong are behind the wheel in Beef.
From A24 Studios, the upcoming dark comedy series starring Yeun and Wong follows two strangers whose lives converge during a road rage incident. Danny Cho (Yeun) is a failing contractor with a chip on his shoulder, while Amy Lau (Wong) is a self-made entrepreneur with a picturesque life. Throughout the 10-episode series, their feud consumes them as their lives and relationships become intertwined in more ways than one.
As these first look photos show, both characters come from polar-opposite worlds. Amy is surrounded by her beige walls, eclectic vases and a hot husband. Danny, on the other hand, comes from humble beginnings and can’t seem to catch a break.

Marvel’s Thunderbolts is another ambitious venture that the franchise will put out in 2025. Starring Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova and Harrison Ford as Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross, the film will also feature Marvel alum Sebastian Stan reprising his role as Bucky Barnes along with other regular Marvel cameos. The popular narrative based on a group of anti-heroes is already gaining hype for its ensemble cast and the plotline.

Once again, Marvel's long-awaited "Thunderbolts" movie has been given a new release date. The good news for those looking forward to this one is that, for once, Disney has moved the film up by a couple of months rather than delay it again. Whether or not this date is the one that sticks remains to be seen, but mark your calendars for May 2, 2025, and plan accordingly.
Marvel Studios did a little bit of shuffling around with its release calendar, with "The Fantastic Four" taking over the July 25, 2025, release date that was previously held by "Thunderbolts." In announcing the new dates, Marvel also finally confirmed the cast for "Fantastic Four," with Pedro Pascal playing Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby playing Sue Storm, Ebon Moss Bachrach playing Ben Grimm, and Joseph Quinn playing Johnny Storm. Most of those names have been circling the rumor mill for some time, but have finally been made official.

More changes are happening for the cast line-up of Marvel's Thunderbolts. On the heels of Steven Yeun departing (with Top Gun: Maverick's Lewis Pullman reportedly in talks to replace him), we have another substitution in the works. The Bear's Ayo Edebiri, who had been in an unspecified role for the film is now departing due to a schedule clash, to be replaced by Blockers' Geraldine Viswanathan.
Thunderbolts, which assembles the likes of Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Wyatt Russell as US Agent, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster and Harrison Ford as Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross, has been beset by delays thanks to the dual strikes of last year.

The upcoming Marvel Studios production Thunderbolts is going to feature multiple actors from various previous Marvel films and TV shows reprising their roles. It’s got Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Wyatt Russell as US Agent, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, and Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster… and if Thunderbolts had started filming last summer, as it was supposed to before the strikes hit, it also would have had actress/writer/comedian Ayo Edebiri, whose credits include Big Mouth, The Bear, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, in the cast. Unfortunately for Edebiri, the production delay caused her to run into scheduling issues, so she has had to drop out of the project. Deadline reports that the character she was going to be playing will now be played by Geraldine Viswanathan.

It was reported earlier that Steven Yeun was set to make his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the Thunderbolts film. Unfortunately, scheduling issues that cropped up due to last year’s dual strikes in Hollywood would now prevent Yeun from participating in filming. The actor felt remorse for the dilemma and wanted to make it clear that he hopes to join the MCU in the future, “I wanna do a Marvel movie. I have some ideas.” Yeun would also apologize to the fans for holding up the production, “It took a lot of drafts on email to make sure that I conveyed the sincerity of how sorry I was to have to back out.” Deadline is now reporting that Top Gun: Maverick‘s Lewis Pullman is now in talks with Marvel Studios to be Yeun’s replacement. Emmys producers Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay had reason to be upbeat the morning after the kudocast: In what seems to be a rarity for awards shows these days, their production earned almost universally high marks from critics and viewers. For the 75th annual celebration, the Jesse Collins Entertainment trio leaned into nostalgia and the history of television to create a three-hour event that paid tribute to the small screen.
“It was ambitious, and we were like, ‘Is this actually going to work?’ But we felt good about it in the end,” Collins told Variety on Tuesday morning. Anyone hungry for more Beef?
After a packed nine days in which the Netflix dark comedy swept at the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards, the show was officially crowned best limited series at the 2023 Emmys on Monday night, with seven additional trophies between the Primetime and Creative Arts ceremonies, including best actor for Steven Yeun and best actress for Ali Wong as the feuding duo Danny and Amy, respectively. The next day, creator Lee Sung Jin – who personally also won for writing the pilot and directing the finale – phoned The Hollywood Reporter to talk about lessons learned as a first-time showrunner as well as what he would do with a potential (not yet officially greenlit) second season.
This interview has been edited for length and clarity.

Fresh off of winning an Emmy for both writing and directing in same night, “Beef” creator Lee Sung Jin is contemplating how to capture the same magic in a potential Season 2.
“The theme will always be ‘Beef,’ and there’s so much beef in the world,” Lee told TheWrap of crafting an additional installment on Tuesday. “There’s certainly a lot written in my notes app about things that have happened to me over my life or things that I’ve observed that I’d love to tap into.”
Lee’s real-life road rage incident inspired the impetus for the first season, which scored an Emmy for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series on Monday night, as did its leads Steven Yeun and Ali Wong in their respective acting categories.

Upon walking into the Governors Gala, statuette in hand and partner Jessica Betts on her arm, “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” star Niecy Nash-Betts, who gave the speech of the night upon accepting the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie, joked “I fell short of saying ‘About damn time,’” upon being reminded this was her fifth nomination (and fourth show she’s been nominated for.)
Though that quip is true of her specific circumstance, it also sums up the vibe of the night. For many of the milestones that occurred at the 75th Primetime Emmys on Monday, January 16, it really felt like “about damn time.”

After taking home eight awards at last night’s (January 15) Emmys (including three Creative Arts Emmys), Netflix‘s Beef is in a prime position for a second season, and the show’s creator, Lee Sung Jin, has plenty of ideas in mind. While the streamer has yet to officially announce a follow-up season, Lee said he is open to doing more, despite the close-ended first season. Speaking to reporters backstage at the Emmys, the writer-director stated, “I feel like there are so many paths [for more Beef].” “It could stay limited — it was a very close-ended story for sure,” he continued, per Deadline. “But if Netflix wanted to continue, it could also be anthology. It could be many things. It’s up to the great algorithm. We’re all waiting to hear.” Lee, who also goes by Sonny Lee, signed a multi-year overall deal with Netflix back in November, which includes both potential film and television projects.
