Are you ready for Zachary Quinto to scare the heck out of you as he once did on Heroes?
If so, you're in the right place. Quinto is taking on a role that even though I'm currently reading the book is still quite mysterious.
Christmas-themed horror is nothing new, but it always makes your heart skip a beat. Much like Happy! on Syfy, N0S4A2 will make you think twice about the wonders of Christmastime.

Netflix is an entertainment conglomerate that’s also, at its heart, a tech company. As it transitioned from a mail-order DVD rental service to producer of its own streaming content, it kept preaching the Silicon Valley motto of disruption. Netflix, said Netflix, wouldn’t be beholden to the old Hollywood way of doing things: Seasons would be released all at once, rather than forcing viewers to wait a week at a time for each episode! Creative people would be given creative freedom to make the kinds of shows they couldn’t anywhere else!

"Christmasland is waiting for you..." Earlier this year, AMC officially greenlit a TV series based on Joe Hill's novel NOS4A2, and it was later announced that the lead actors for the series would be Zachary Quinto and Ashleigh Cummings (Hounds of Love). Now, fittingly just days before Christmas, Entertainment Weekly has revealed the first photo of Quinto as the malevolent, soul-sucking Charlie Manx.
You can view the full photo of Quinto as Charlie Manx below, courtesy of EW. Although NOS4A2 will initially air on AMC in 2019 as a 10-installment adaptation of Hill's novel, showrunner Jami O’Brien told EW that the ultimate goal is to "expand" the world of Hill's book in potential future seasons:

Giant Moths, Demonic Puppets, and Hell on Earth are coming in Stan Against Evil Season 3.
Stan Against Evil star John C. We saw it firsthand. While on set for a day of filming, we witnessed guest stars David Koechner and Eddie Pepitone smashing up a miniature Willard’s Mill while dressed as a Giant Mothman and Gorilla, respectively.
Those are just two of the ridiculously fun monsters that Stan (McGinley) and Evie Barrett (Janet Varney) will have to face as their lives in Willard’s Mill continue to be one endless nightmare after another. “There’s so much real horror, how about a little fake horror?” series creator Dana Gould says,...

Netflix’s April cancelation of coming-of-age dramedy Everything Sucks after one season triggered an outpouring of fans who called on the Internet network to reverse its decision.
The 1990s-set series premiered to mixed reviews but developed the passionate following streaming platforms covet. Why was then the series canceled?
“I’m really passionate about the show myself,” Netflix VP original content Cindy Holland said during the network’s executive session. “We take the cancellation decisions as personally as anybody.”
She acknowledged Everything Sucks’ “passionate audience” but “because we were seeing a much low completion rate of the whole season, we realized that it is very unlikely that we would be able to grow the audience, move a whole new audience through the show and have a large enough audience to justify a season 2,” Holland told Deadline.

On the 2018 Emmy Awards nominations ballot, TV academy voters must consider a whopping 117 comedy series; that is up from 104 last year. Until last year, Emmy voters could pick only 10 comedies on their nomination ballots. Earlier this week, the season for cutting and renewing TV series began. One of the cuts was Fox’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine which was a very unpopular decision among the viewers. You even had celebs like Sean Astin and Lin Manuel-Miranda who went to social media to get the show back on the air. And whatever it did seemed to work because as of this post, Brooklyn Nine-Nine has been renewed and picked up by NBC. There have been many shows that have gotten the axe this season and some are surprising as others aren’t. Below is a list of shows that have recently been canceled.

Maria Bamford is afraid that Donald Trump is going to start a nuclear war — so much so, in fact, that she’s filed a restraining order against him. TMZ reports that the stand-up comedian and “Lady Dynamite” star has “anxiety and depression” due to Trump’s comments about North Korea and wants him to stay 1,000 yards away from her (don’t we all?).
Bamford specifically cites Trump’s comment directed toward Kim Jong-un of North Korea that “I too have a nuclear button…and my button works” in the documents she’s filed with a judge. Bamford is launching on a stand-up tour tomorrow, and her legal action may or may not factor into the publicity for said tour.

Few people have succeeded in permanently adding a tagline to their name quite like Bill Nye, more popularly known as “Bill Nye The Science Guy.” With a brand that strong, it’s no wonder Nye is back, although he’s updated his tagline. In “Bill Nye Saves The World,” the bowtie enthusiast brings celebrity guests into his science lab to tackle the greatest threats known to man. In the newly released trailer for the third season of the Netflix series, Nye can be seen drinking water recycled from urine, advocating for reducing our “foodprint,” and doing something involving a break dancer. (It’s unclear how that will save the world, but it sure looks fun).
In the six-episode season, Nye tackles the truth behind evolution, how climate change will impact foods of the future, and what pets can teach us about being human, with guests that include Arnold Schwarzenegger, Karlie Kloss,...

Netflix has extinguished Disjointed. The streamer has pulled the plug on the Kathy Bates-fronted pot comedy after one buzz-deprived season, TVLine has learned.
Co-created by Chuck Lorre, the series found Oscar-winner Bates playing the owner of a Los Angeles marijuana dispensary. The cast also included Mozart in the Jungle‘s Aaron Moten, The Flash‘s Tone Bell and Another Period‘s Betsy Sodaro.
The second half of the show’s first season dropped last month. All told, 20 episodes were produced.
After years of renewing even its lowest-profile shows, Netflix has entered the cancellation business in a big way of late.

We'll leave it to you to decide if it went out with a whimper or a bang, but Netflix has cancelled Maria Bamford's Lady Dynamite TV show. The decision to pass on a third season renewal comes about two months after the second season dropped to Netflix, on November 10, 2017. A loosely autobiographical Netflix comedy, Lady Dynamite stars Bamford, Ana Gasteyer, Fred Melamed, Mary Kay Place, Mo Collins, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Bridget Everett, Lennon Parham, Yimmy Yin, Dean Cain, and Ed Begley, Jr. Inspired by Bamford's experiences, Netflix describes Lady Dynamite as, “…the story of a woman who loses — and then finds — her s**t.” Set in Los Angeles, the sitcom takes an oft surreal look at several different periods in the actor and standup comic’s life.
