SUPERGIRL takes a stand against deportation
6 March 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Thanks to the betrayal of a loved one the Anti - Alien Organization CADMUS is in possession of the Alien National Registry, which is meant to protect aliens on earth but it ill be used now to locate, detain and deport aliens from earth.

CW's Supergirl is way ahead on Social Issues than any other Superhero show, using controversial topics such as sexism, empowerment, gay relationships, racism, discrimination in general. The show uses discrimination against aliens to take a stand in multiple ways but tonight's episode was nothing short of bold, blunt, honest and unapologetic, it dealt a steel blow to massive deportation efforts by Herr Trump... I mean President Trump, comparing his methods to those of a fictitious terrorist organization that will stop at nothing until their genocidal plans come true.

What else can we expect when the show protagonist Melissa Benoist? Who proudly stood on Washington's Women March with a sign that read "Hey Donald, don't grab my ***** - It's made of steel."

In fact, the bold approach this show uses has surpassed those analogies used in other Comic Book related properties who highlight discrimination against people in the form of mutants, inhumans or empower people.

And I understand Nazi... I mean, Republican sympathizers might be offended but after all Superheroes have been fighting tyranny and oppression for almost a century, whether is Captain America punching Hitler right on the face on the first issue, the Marvel Superheroes helping the NYFD after 9/11 or now Supergirl taking a bold stand against deportations, we know that Superheros will not bow down to fear, and their true power is not in their superhuman strength but in their braveness and unstoppable heart.
