Supergirl: Nevertheless, She Persisted (2017)
Season 2, Episode 22

Warning: Spoilers
Consider the similarities; he was a bad guy turned good while she is a decent person though she is perceived as a bitch. Kara is the lightsaber since as usual she is the one that gives her the confidence boost she needs to win her battles. It's just one way of seeing it, as a lot of what she says can be seen as subtle sarcasm or taken literally. She was great as usual and finally admitted she knows who Supergirl is. Though I'm no longer certain Kara knows she knows.

Apparently the fight in the beginning has gotten mixed reviews; I hover feel that the route they took was the best one. Not only did it remove the problem of having to add Zod to the storyline, but it was a way for them to show that she is indeed more powerful than her cousin. Another noteworthy part in the beginning is that Rhea said Superman rushed in recklessly, just as Kara did at first and when she became over confident with her abilities. Alex being captured and nearly killed obviously taught her to look before she leaps; something he apparently didn't learn yet. I do hope that Superman being taken over by the enemy isn't going to be the running theme of every season. I hope mind control in the season finally has run it's course. Maggie and Alex just standing there irritated the hell out of me. Alex has a battle suit, she could have used it on the daxamites and to Intervene on Kara's behalf. Superman clearly was only interested in attacking Kara.

Lena and Lillian were actually quite awesome in this episode. I always thought both characters had so much more to give and they showed it here, excellent performances. I assume Lena's hostility towards Supergirl means she knows her secret, though I hope she sees as Cat sees, why she keeps it from some people.

Is Doomsday coming in season 3? Overall solid episode.
