This was a pretty good episode in my opinion. Here we have two very funny storylines: 1) Buddy, Harry's father, meets a rich widow that falls for him, but Harry and Christine worry that she mistakes Buddy for rich and sane. 2) Dan (hilariously) is homeless, and lives in his office while trying to get an apartment.
First of all, Harry's and Buddy's dinamic is unique, and very well constructed throughout the series, the twist to make Buddy his real dad instead of his stepfather was a great and needed one. I enjoyed this story imensely , mainly because the widow is such a likeable character , and in the end she doesn't really care for anything in Buddy's past, she just loves him for the goofball that he his, "I love your daddy very much" Buddy : "I think he would've liked you too". Dan's story is filled with hilarious moments "It's gotta get better!" seconds before it starts raining in his office, is one of those episodes where the two storylines tie together at the end, I normally am very suspicious about these endings, but I love them when it's well done, as in this one (Dan gets Buddy's apartment since he is getting married and moving). I think Harry, Christine, Bull and Roz are kind of nowhere in this movie, and that's a little sad, I like when an episode can give articulate and intelligent lines to all his members. Very good nonetheless . 7/10 ******* Peter Shelby
