Two good plots and one tedious love triangle
skteosk5 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
After his discovery about Maggie last week, Jordan's plot moves along nicely as he's let in on the sisters' secret and finds out about the curse. The resolution of this plot solves things but leaves other plot threads ready to be followed through on in the future.

It's a bit of a cliche to have Mel and Ray go on a mission together and bond, but it works (and their synchronised sugar pouring is a nice touch). The plot itself is all set-up and no pay-off but they clearly haven't cast Peyton List for a glorified cameo, which the ending confirms. It's just a shame the ending apparently sees Ray's departure, at least for now.

Which brings us to the ongoing Harry/Macy plotline, which started off feeling unnecessary and has now gone into completely irritating territory. Their sudden feelings have never rung true and now other characters are being dragged into it, with what initially seemed to be a promising Abigael storyline turning into her moping over a man.

This is what Charmed is about!!

Finally!! First episode I've fully enjoyed in weeks. Dark, edgy, action packed and with a lot of heart (Ray and Mel's chemistry is top notch and brings out the best in Mel's portrayal).

That's what Charmed is all about!

Plus finally some deepdive into the storyline. We had a decent explanation as to why Ray went away, tying up to season 1 reveals about Maggie. We had a great outing of Macy and Harry, with Abigael still bringing a strong dynamic and forcing Macy to realize that maybe she has not been appreciative of Harry's goodness as much as she should.

And finally a nice progress to what I hope a very interesting mystery around the black amber.

I liked this episode was about Jordan and that curse, it was a fun and entertaining episode, its col to see Eric Balfour from Haven and Buffy getting a role here
