It's not a documentary people.

People complaining about this episode not being realistic, it IS fictional after all. It's entertainment and the story is good. Having said that, you can ask residents of Texas last February whose pipes burst in their houses if the ice castle thing is somewhat real, you'll get a definitive yes. I liked the show.

One of the Best Lonestar Eps Yet

A very good start to season 3. FINALLY we're getting a more balanced show with the whole lead cast. It's a such a strong group that's been severely underutilized but if this episode is any indication, maybe that's finally changing. As much as it makes me sad to see the 126 still split up (for now), I do like that they're exploring how private ambulance companies work differently, and also how it gives Capt Vega, Nancy, and TK a chance to get closer as a team. And even though they're testing my suspension of disbelief still with some of these calls, I'm very much enjoying the blizzard story line.

Texas Sized Snowstorm
shelbythuylinh4 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
As last year Texas had a worst storm of snow there. And that was based on it. As Owen has been suspended for punching out would be deputy chief jerk there. As the chief cares about the politics and Owen cares about the people.

As Firehouse 126 is closing with Tommy, TK, and Nancy adjusting over their new jobs and in the fallout there. With demolition to take place as it had gotten a reprieve due to the snowstorm.

But despite all they can do to save the firehouse, still it will be demolished. But of course, you can't keep Owen Strand down as he's walking with his dog in the end to find someone who doesn't understand English being injured.

I keep forgetting some people have never had an actual winter. As someone from Northern Minnesota all I can say is no..just no... I guess you guys KIND OF TRIED . . But no lol. This was just plain poor writing. Also I type this as my echo show tells me "Winter Storm Warning" hahahaha. But I digress.

If you think this is more than two stars you are in never ever land

Warning: Spoilers
There is just so much wrong with this episode that you have to turn reality completely off! Even ponds in the Austin area rarely freeze over ( In Dallas two hundred miles north it has occured just a handful of times in 65 years)! Ice palace formations from fire fighting? That happens in temps below 10 degrees Fahrenheit which does not happen in Austin! Btw the Texas Hill Country is HILLS not Mountains! Now the ice chunk from the top of the truck might form if it sat under a roof that drained water right on it so that was plausible but the guy putting down his face shield while putting his torch to the ice just made me scratch my head.

I really had hopes that this show would face reality this year but the writers are still smoking the funny cabbage and coming up with absurd ideas.

What was this?

Warning: Spoilers
I was low key disappointed with this episode. This is JUST NOT POSSIBLE. For example how the dude, who got his throat slit, could still talk, if, by the comment in the episode said, he had his head almost off???? That means his trachea and/or vocal folds would be cut up and he wouldn't be able to talk at all. Next up, how can there be so much snow and such hard ice in one day, that only could happen in like -15 degree Celsius in multiple day span. AND the big one, from what was the building made of??? Hay???? How much snow, in period of one day there had to be, to actually destroy a whole building? What???

Suntan lotion
Jeffdice197511 January 2022
Suntan lotion should have been used by all of the actors involved as the sun was shining and casting shadows during the whole show. While the firefighters were fighting the building collapse and pouring 2500 gallons of water on it none of them had frost on their uniforms - not. Come fight a fire in the northern part of the country in the middle of January see how much ice is accumulated on their uniforms.
