Losing Faith in this show

Warning: Spoilers
So many things wrong with this episode. I get it, it's a drama. It's supposed to entertain. But how can Cal Fire put their name on something that clearly depicts a rescue that was udderly stupid. First, they wait for a chopper? Then have to repel down the cliff? Then they have the equipment tied around a dead tree stump? For real? USE THE TRUCK! That's why you have the equipment for it. And, no c-collar for the patient that fell 50 feet? Have her walk on an open femur fracture?! Anyone who falls like that gets full imbolization and you would never move them. Yep, I'm losing faith for sure here.

They didn't need the chopper, but with that said they used one anyway. I would think it's common sense to kick of the rocks instead of just slamming into them. I'm not an EMT, but I'm thinking there should've been a c-color for the injured woman and not have her walk upright because of possible back or neck injuries from the fall and you should be using the truck first not some stump, this is not the first time this show is reaching and yea it's supposed to be a drama I get it, but don't these writers or producers do any actual research or use professional firefighters to help this falling drama, seriously c'mon guys I know you can do better and Max since you're in this show speak up and try to make it believable..smh.

Editors and Writers pay attention

Warning: Spoilers
The background accompanied music, especially at the beginning, was way too loud. It was so loud you couldn't hear the conversation between Bode and Jake.

Better research and background knowledge is needed to make this show more believable. Someone who starts out on dialysis doesn't do their first sessions at home. That comes months, if not years, later with extensive training for the caregiver. The patient and caregiver would also know how to properly take their blood pressure.

When Eve gets stuck on the rock wall and they have to cut her loose, a real crew would have had the tools for her to tie off quickly. The wind issue would have been known by the pilot and he would have corrected his position or he would have said no way to the mission. What happened to a simple repelling operation? That would have been the first option.

And to have the patient who has a broken femur protruding hobble to the basket herself? Didn't she just fall 100 feet from a cliff? What about back and neck injuries? What about internal bleeding or injuries? Then the basket gets caught on the rock wall and Jake has the nerve to yell this is a critical patient?

The writers of this show need to revisit the old 70's show Emergency. At least their maneuvers were believable and realistic!

Bode's mom worked so hard keeping her secret. Disappointed in Bode blabbing it to everyone. It's obvious his mom is his soft spot, but I doubt tough guy Bode would have just wilted into a hot mess. I was really hating Jake at the beginning of this episode, but at least they made him do a role reversal by the end for Bode. But for the sake of drama, which the writers seem to be aiming for more than actual fire rescues, it would have been better to keep the conflict going a little longer between them.

No way

Warning: Spoilers
So many errors with the rescue.

1) the air crewman would have been operating the winch not a probie

2) Eve would not have had that much slack in the cabin moving around

3) crewman would have aborted as soon as she shock loaded the cable not once but twice

4) why didn't they try to rappel first?

5) the cable got stuck in the rock and then the rope gets stuck too?

6) sure Bodee would have had experience climbing in the area but no way would he have the actual certification to perform the rescue as an inmate fire fighter.

While I am liking the show, this one just was waaaay to out there to be believable.

Writers need to get better.
