The Funniest Show Ever-WingMen- the TV Series
cathygold15 November 2020
If you love flawed fat characters, WingMen currently streaming on Amazo Prime is for you. I loved the Mitch Wolfe character in season 2 of WingMen. He is smart, funny, witty, handsome and totally flawed in so many ways. He is self-absorbed, selfish and delusional but in a very sweet charming way. Wolfe is surrounded in season two by a cast of inarticulate boobs, such as the Rinaldo character and Eastern European Mickey who can't string a sentence together. Wolfe is like Seinfeld, a witty flawed man, surrounded by outrageously stupid and clueless characters. This makes for great tv.

WingMen- Best Show Ever
david-4245825 June 2020
Omg, I just binge watched this awesome show and couldn't stop. Im still laughing out loud.... This is absolutely hilarious... I give it a 10 out of 10!!!! I can't wait to see this show go mainstream.. there's nothing like it on anywhere.... The characters in the show are naturals and the story line is filled with so many funny scenes. Love Franco, Mitch and Rick and that Escobar guy lol Reminds me of the old Seinfeld show...... Once this hits the mainstream it will go viral!! I have told all my friends to check this out. I highly recommend Wingmen 10++++

NOT YOUR USUAL BRO SHOW
gwbellinger23 June 2020
This is a quirky sometimes surreal journey thru the male psyche. The characters display their hopes, yearnings, fears around exquisite women who seem so unobtainable. Yet these oftentimes bumbling man/boys somehow succeed despite their foibles. The show is an intriguing mix of hilarity and pathos mixed with a touch of 1930's- like screwball comedy. Beautifully shot and spiced with gorgeous bodies. Give it a go!

This is why Canada isn't allowed a military

Canadians are great pets...all Americans should adopt one or two. Great people to drink with and play a game of lawn darts. DO NOT watch their TV unless your Canadian. They are NOT the sharpest crayons in the box. You will walk away wondering how they actually survive.

the best

I was blessed enough a couple of years ago to be introduced to this show. It's truly one of the best Comedy series to come out of Canada in the last 5 years at least. The characters, the stories, the laughs. Genuine show with genuine people and I love every single last one of them. Thank you Rick and Mitch for creating this gem!

WingMen The TV Shoots and Scores
cathygold15 November 2020
WingMen is my go to tv series when I want to escape from the realities of life. Which is really strange because this show is very real with very real flawed characters playing themselves as flawed characters playing themselves on this very compelling tv series. There are 30 episodes contained in two fun-filled seasons on Amazon Prime. Season 2 is different from Season 1, in that there are different lead characters. Franco the Baker stars in season 1, but we don't see him in season 2. He is replaced by an obnoxious dude named Mickey and his wife Bianca and her two hot sisters, Rebecca and Joanne. I actually loved the cerebral, intelligent Mitch Wolfe character in season 2. He steals the show with his witty off the cuff banter. I hope there is a season 3, but this time. I want to see more Wolfe and Less Hogg. Just saying.

Crazy in every way
ethanm-9082626 June 2020
Fast-paced and hard to follow, this fragmented show tethers the storyline together loosely. However, moments of hilarity shine through. A band of misguided bros makes for good comedy.

The show is also a very interesting and refreshing take on the reality show genre. It dives into a season with crass characters and unbelievable circumstances, then it comes out as a moral telling of one character or a commentary on show business.

It's set up as a show, but is told like a trilogy.

The personalities are larger than life, and you won't be able to take your eyes off the screen.

WingMen TV Series- Is Awesome
pomerantzjune15 November 2020
The best show on Amazon Prime these days is WingMen. It is brilliantly directed and acted by Rick Smiciklas. It is fast and funny. There are many colorful characters, such Mild Ricky and Backdoor Billy. My favorites are Franco the Baker and the Mitch Wolfe character of season 2. These two guys carry the show in seasons one and two. I want to see more Franco and Wolfe. They both have charisma and both are very funny.

WingMen is Awesome!
larrysmith-2297115 November 2020
I loved the WingMen TV series. All two seasons, 30 episodes, currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. It is the story of Rick, a hard-driving and very successful businessmen and his many lovable and fat friends who hang out with Rick, party with him and his beautiful girlfriends. These lovable dudes fight, drink and love like real men. This is a show worth watching over and over and over again.

WingMen is the Best TV Series on Amazon Prime Video!
wolfman-1639315 November 2020
WingMen, the TV series, is by far the funniest and most entertaining tv series on Amazon Prime Video. This two season-30 episode production is primarily written and directed by Rick Smiciklas, a brilliant writer/director/actor/producer. This show is about real middle American men acting naturally and often badly. I can't wait for season 3.

WingMen The TV Series is not for the Faint-Hearted
frankhorwath15 November 2020
Don't get me wrong. I loved WingMen, a comedic tv series currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. This series is 30 episodes in two fun-filled seasons. I liked the authenticity of WingMen. Its humor is raw and crude. The stars are real and fat and messy. The jokes come fast and furious. Rick is the master of ceremonies. All his friends take advantage of his kindness and generosity. But that is the point. Rick's friends do bad things. Franco the Baker is given a bakery to run by Rick and immediately, Franco sleeps in and bugs off and blows the whole business as he does other failed businesses that Rick hands him to run. And therein lies the humour. Grown men screwing up. Laughing about it. And then partying and drinking. Is this real life or not? Who cares. Just go with the flow and these crazy WingMen!

WingMen the TV Series Best Entertainment on Amazon Prime
dougharvey-8510215 November 2020
This show was so amazing and so entertaining. The laughs are fast and natural. The show is clearly unscripted with non actors playing themselves. There is no way you can script this funny stuff expressed with raw emotion and real feeling. Though the tv series centers arounds many flawed dudes, I loved the strong female characters in the whole series such as Faith and Nicky in Season 1 and Joanne, Bianca and Rebecca, the three hot sisters, in season 2. Come for the wild antics of the men, but stay for the great women in WingMen.

WingMen the TV Series is Hysterical
jody-3010915 November 2020
I loved this crazy WingMen TV series. I discovered it on Amazon Prime Video and once I did, I was hooked. I binged the two seasons, 30 episodes over a week-end. It was the most fun week-end ever, hanging out with Rick, Mild Ricky, Franco the Baker, Backdoor Billy and a whole host of fun-loving guys and girls. I want to spend my week ends with this crazy group every week end!

WingMen Rocks!
jody-3010915 November 2020
I loved this crazy show on Amazon Prime Video. WingMen is about a bunch of funny fat lovable losers. Working class dudes. Middle Americans. All trying to get back with laughter, booze, drugs and women. Their ringleader is Rick, who in real life is the writer/director/actor and producer of this very entertaining tv series. WingMen is about Rick and his crazy group of friends who use him and abuse him as he abuses them as well. It is all in good fun. You will fall in love with Mild Ricky the driver who can't drive and Backdoor Billy, Rick's real estate agent in real life and some time friend. The jokes are fast and furious and natural.

Obsessed with Mild Ricky
hornbydy3 July 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This show is like Trailer Park Boys meets Real Housewives, set in the Greater Toronto Area. It was an absolute pleasure to binge-watch this over the weekend! It's only a matter of time until the good people of Toronto stumble upon this gem.

It's spun like a mockumentary/reality show, about the real-life owner of Wild Wing Restaurants Rick Smiciklas, and his eccentric entourage of childhood friends, family, and business partners. It's hard to tell what parts of this show are real (if any). What is clear is that Rick is an enabler, and his generosity is often taken for granted by those around him, particularly by Franco "The Baker" in Season 1 who is an enormously lazy, self-aggrandizing screw-up.

Rick sets up several food-related ventures for Franco to manage, all of which fall apart under his incompetence. Rick's other friends, Lars "Boss Hogg", Mild Ricky "The Driver", and Billy "Backdoor", aren't much brighter, but together they are a lot of fun to watch. You get the feeling they've known each other in real life for a long time, and their characters on Wingmen are not far off from their actual personalities.

There are a host of rotating supporting characters like the bombshell babes Faith and Sabrina, who work in the Wingmen Head Office, straight man Rob Stewart "The President", Rick's mom Baka, his lawyer "Dirty Doug", and childhood friend Gino "The Drunk". Whether any of these people had any acting experience is debatable, but they are great for reality television.

The charm of this show is visible from the intro, in which the cast is portrayed as high-rollers, hanging around Vegas, partying on a yacht in Miami, wining and dining in Chigago and New York City. This is coupled with a great clip of Toronto Mayor Rob Ford pulling up in a blue 1977 Trans-Am with 'TORONAH' plates, Rick kisses him on the cheek *almost* like a mafioso.

While the show does eventually film in these exotic locations, most of Season 1 is set in Toronto's suburbs (Aurora), so it makes for a pretty funny contrast. Boss Hogg looks especially out of place, usually wearing a white cowboy suit and driving around York Region in a limo.

Season 1 ends with a wild wedding in Vegas. Season 2 revolves around Rick's life in swanky Yorkville after he sells his ownership of Wild Wing for over $20 million. I did not enjoy Season 2 as much, but there were definitely bright spots that make it worth watching. The scene in which Mayor Ford gives his car to Rick before his cancer surgery is especially touching.

Johnny Kim "The Concierge" and Rinaldo "The Valet" are great additions, but the drama surrounding Rick's cousin Mickey "The Cousin", his wife Bianca, and her two sisters drags on for much of the season. While I appreciate the heartfelt footage of Rick's trip back to his home country (Croatia), the trip takes him out of the show for most of Season 2. Franco and Boss Hogg are great characters who are seldom seen in Season 2, which was a let-down.

The show suddenly becomes aware of itself halfway through the season as Wingmen's alleged "executive producer" Mitch suddenly carves out a role and confusing plot-line of his own, conspiring against certain actors in the show. Despite these faults, I was already hooked. The stock music, cheesy transitions and bad effects only add to the fun viewing experience that Wingmen has to offer. I hope they come out with another season!

The best.

This show is destined to be a cult classic. The first season is still my favourite but the new characters in seasons 2 and 3 are hilarious. The production value and locations are crazy for a show that was self funded. Definitely worth a re-watch too!

ONE OF A KIND, A TRUE GEM
birddog4415 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Wingmen is a fast-paced, visually stunning whirlwind of comedy and positive dysfunction. This show is truly a breath of fresh air amongst the controlled media that is out presently. Unfiltered, witty, experimental, and original. With each season, it progressively gets crazier, yet more heartfelt. I recommend this show to any of my guy friends and family as it centers around a male's perspective on life.

Each character is particularly notable for different reasons. My personal favourites include Rick; who is definitely the most straight guy of the show as he doesn't drink or do drugs, but he isn't at the same time because of the constant enabling with the other characters. Mitch continually makes me laugh in each scene as he needs to be the center of attention, he portrays the stereotypical corrupt producer. I can't get enough of his honesty, how Mitch wants all of the limelight and will do anything to get it. I also really gravitate towards Johnny Kim (JFK) who is a lifelike teddy bear with his innocence. Johnny's smiling and laugh are infectious. A certain fan favourite must be the all-star Italian Franco... his catchphrases and mannerisms are engrained in my head after finishing the show. Miko the Dachshund is a cute addition to Wingmen that adds even more realism, he is hanging out in many of the interview scenes laying on various people's laps.

There are many minor details that I notice throughout the show, including the cast's complimentary wardrobe that matches their personalities. Rick has lively and beautiful dress shirts whilst Franco is outfitted in his typical uniform of all black, but I must say it makes his sleeve tattoos stand out. From the main base of Toronto to Miami and Croatia. I love how global the show is with many locations and the diverse multicultural cast. There are vast layers throughout the entire show from the artwork, design of the homes (sets), consistent vibrant colouring to set the mood; which makes Wingmen very pleasurable to look at. I love seeing all the different kinds of mouthwatering food throughout the show including cheeseburgers, ice cream, ribs, and of course chicken wings for the Wingmen, so they can maintain their robust physique.

Immediately in the first episode, there are aspects that pull at your heartstrings like seeing Franco lose his matrimonial home, and at the graveyard with Rick mourning his father. One of the show's quotes is "begin with the end in mind", I will not give away too much, but the finale is a real tear-jerker. The best part of the show is when you finish it, every arch is completed giving a sense of satisfaction. Trust me, you will want to know what transpires to this crazy bunch of humans in the end. Wingmen lies somewhere between fantasy and reality, constantly challenging your assumptions if the show is scripted. Enjoy the chaotic ride from start to finish like I did and prepare for some dark humour.

One of the funniest shows I've seen since the last season of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Relatable and hilarious charterers. Not to mention the sexy women. But nothing tops that 78' Trans AM. My God what a car!! I'd ride that Tranny any day.
