It isn't about ghosts, it's about Chad Calek
stimes-4515125 July 2018
All of about 3 minutes was paranormal anything. The rest was basically Chad Calek talking about how interesting Chad Calek thinks Chad Calek is, superimposed over Australian tourism commercial footage. We get it, you know how to film hi speed sequences and play with font titles. Vetoed 50 minutes in by my 10 y/o for being "self-aggrandizing clown s#!t". Thank gawd we didn't pay for the experience with anything but our time.

Just skip to the 1:29:00 mark
vickyhatessprint10 January 2021
The bulk of the "film" is mostly this chad guy showing us footage from his Australian vacation while talking about himself. The other part is him "investigating" the team who caught the footage where he digs into their backgrounds and tries (but fails) to find lies/inaccuracies/holes in all of their accounts to prove they just wanted to fame and attention. Kind of annoyed that I bought the 2nd part without reading the reviews and then bought this one thinking I had to watch this to understand "Two Face:the grey". The only reason I gave this 2 stars is for the 2 seconds of actual footage of an alleged entity. Don't purchase or rent this. Wait until it's free and then skip to the 1:29:00 mark to see the ghost footage paired with a couple recreations.

Lacks substance
Watcher4224 June 2018
Warning: Spoilers
This documentary is part travel advertisement for Australia, part self promotion by Chad Calek and a LOT of padding. It makes a definitive claim at the end, but provides very little evidence one way or the other.

This whole documentary seems to be trying to stretch 20mins of real info into a 1hr45min film. We get a whole load of facts thrown at us about how many people believe in the paranormal, and how it's frustrating that scientist call the shots to discredit paranormal investigation... But this movie does nothing to change that.

It tries to focus on the human element and credibility of the investigation team. Did they fake the 'Sir No Face' footage, instead of trying to gather their own evidence.

Some of the things that annoyed me:

Chad talks about his surprise that the Team didn't get one of the many Australian CGI houses to look over the footage - and yet he only uses one source. Why not get multiple sources to verify (as any credible scientist would). There's not a lot of detail from the CGI expert on how he actually came to his conclusion.

No one asked the potential cost of faking a CGI shot to that level of detail. It seems clear that the Team had little finances available, so it would have been interesting and would have helped credibility if we knew just how expensive this shot would have been.

Chad appears to have been involved in this event from early on. So why not use his resources to try and capture his own footage rather than rely on a single source. If Chad got involved after the Government closed visitors to the island, why was no attempt made to get special permission.

There was little scientific method on show. Late on in the movie there's a sudden discovery by Chad that Sir No Face is a child. It seems no one has really looked at the footage and analysed it beyond trying to ascertain if it's CGI - and yet the Team are doing this job on a semi-professional basis.

So much time is spent on whether Craig lied about being a sports pro. And some strange correlation is drawn between how Craig claims to not know any CGI people, and yet one of his other shows has CGI elements in it's intro.

The best way of validating the footage would have been to try and repeat it. But instead we get a movie that goes nowhere and provides little evidence - but then makes a sweeping statement that the footage is real. I have an open mind and would love definitive proof - but this documentary does not provide it.

Awful.
gabey71018 December 2018
Just awful. Don't even waste your time with this one. Calek's graphics heavy "documentary" reminds me of crap you would find on YouTube.

katesmeltzer-111203 November 2021
There's a typo. So much editing and they couldn't take a second to proof read?

Also..why does Chad feel like he is taking some huge professional reputation risk for meeting this group. Like, bro.. come on. Pretentious. Also, "do you know how much this will change your life??" CHAD. Stop it.

And what is with all the family montage filler? No one cares about that, just show me ghosts.

Real spirit captured-thoroughly investigated

Warning: Spoilers
Chad Calek and team did an amazing job presenting this evidence to the world. Even for skeptics, the image of Noface is difficult to process, yet Chad and his team did the leg work and proved it to be paranormal. The first VERIFIABLE, paranormal apparition ever caught on film. WSPR and Craig Powell were thoroughly interviewed making it much easier to believe. Thank you Chad and WSPR, this was astonishing.

A film about Chad Caleb, with some ghost stuff thrown in.
danschultz-5344326 June 2018
This guy loves to talk about himself. A lot. And then at some point you see some possible ghost footage HE DIDN'T EVEN FILM. And then they don't even confirm it's real. Such a waste of time.

All Hype No Substance
djroman28 October 2021
I actually saw this in Royal Oak, MI when it was and was presented live by Chad Calek. It drew a respectable audience, but when the lights went back on at the end and before the Q&A, I noticed half the audience - maybe more - had left. It's a dull, prodding, mostly irrelevant documentary that goes far longer than it needs to with a bunch of needless and unnecessary banter and anecdotes. Don't bother - you'll be bored at best.

Garbage
berg-7453221 February 2022
I have zero respect to the modern day snake oil salesman, paranormal "investigators" 7000 tv shows radio shows movies YouTube channels podcasts are all looking for the same thing and have found nothing. They use electronic devices meant for other things and claim these things are tools of their "trade". This was the usual nonsense but open with the lead tool saying "the reason I look so tired is I've watched this for 6 hours straight" roughly the same amount of time as everybody on the planet with a tv does every day. If you as an Australian have a bombshell video that proves conclusively that paranormal whatever is true would you contact contact the 50 or so shows that are searching for this sort of proof on well known networks like the History Channel Discovery Channel Nat Geo or send it to some bozo in the US that is absolutely unknown to you. The footage was great but the choice of who to give the information to so they tell the world was stupid and completely takes the possibility that this was real. Not worth anyone's time, including my own.

Chad the asshole
aforsyth-687024 August 2023
This entire film is chad trying to prove the Australian team to be liars and chad patting himself on the back. I'm ashamed to be american watching what u did to them. Craig handles it so much better than I would have. How dare u claim they did this to be famous! Did what??!! U the one that ran after them, ur the one that did all this chad. Unreal... the cheap shot at other American paranormal groups is comical considering ur bull. How many times did u say Powell's responses made u angry? Ur an unstable, overbearing, cocky, arrogant, and the most pretentious person I've ever seen 😂 glad u left the business. Trash. On behalf of Americans, I'm sorry Australia paranormal for chad. We don't like him either.

It's a Joke, right?
rjwright10014 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I was sucked by the preview. I really wanted to see what they described as PROOF of ghosts. I'm sure you know where this is going, but just in case you don't: The 'full body apparition' that proves the existence of ghosts is literally, not figuratively, a person. A person who accidentally leaned into a camera shot and leaned back out of view. That's it, that's the whole thing. 90 minutes of bla bla bla and 2 seconds of a wayward crew member.

This 'documentary' is primarily a vacation video with some supernatural hyperbole thrown in. Please don't wast your time on this when you could be doing something more intriguing like watching paint dry.

Scam artist
chrisshelton-5587119 December 2021
I think Craig and the ppl who run that place came up with this scam to make that place a world renowned travel destination. They invited plenty of American and other countries ghost Hunter shows. That's the reason they closed that place down. As soon as the bosses of that sector of the Australian government realized they had employees participating in a scam, they didn't have a choice.

The ghost or alien or whatever the gullible believe is really Craig's kid. How has no one else in the reviews seen this? Craigs wife was there, I would bet anything that she couldn't find a babysitter.

This also has to be said. Hey Chad, are you slow? Or are you a con artist?

Lastly, I'm a believer. But this is obviously a scam and Chad should be ashamed of himself. You didn't trick me, but you did trick a lot of other people who love this kind of stuff and that's just wrong.

How Did This Go Over With A Live Audience?
chris-putt7121 June 2023
Chad Calek hosted a screening at Royal Oak (MI) Music Theater shortly after the release, and I attended. There was a pretty decent turnout when the lights dimmed. After the film finished and the lights came up, I noticed that half or close to half of those who were in attendance had left. Then came the Q&A. And the tone of those who asked questions ranged from skeptical to insulted.

I'm with the consensus; this isn't so much a documentary on an entity as it is a feature by Chad Calek about himself. And probably 70% of this is footage which is irrelevant and just not needed.

Don't get your hopes up for this.

Chad Calek "sir no face"
timothymcdorman25 July 2023
I think Chad wanted to go out of his way to prove that he did everything in his power to debunk the video. There will always be critics of every movie made (it's called an opinion), so what did you want him to do? I agree there is some fluff, but what movie doesn't have fluff? I.e. "Gone with the wind". I'll put up with the fluff if there is substance to the overall. For instance; Ghost Hunters and every other ghost hunting show, show them turning out the lights and the lights going off individually. We all know what turning off the lights looks like, but they do it every time. If anyone wants to go out and make a movie then do so without any fluff.
