I was in Sailing Camp when it came out, and i was in the intermediates, so we'd sail on the blue jays, and our level of expertise could have one person piloting the boat, and we'd pretend to have pirate fights. Best movie going experience of my life. Spent a whole year waiting for it, and the Christmas prior I had discovered Middle Earth through the books, and had to wait a period of time for the movies to be released on DVD. Plus we spent the summer in a rental house with no cable, so I occupied my time with Tolkien. Almost missed the movie due to poor grades, but just pulled through in the end. Saw it with my best friend, Adam, and we had to wait in a line that stretched to the parking lot. And we miraculously got a perfect seat. Held in my piss throughout the entire movie. What a movie. Stood up and applauded at the end. Still blows me away.
