This movie makes me wonder how Batman managed to built his lair. He had to have lots and lots of contracters building it, not leaving it a secret. What the hack, everythng is possible in Gotham.

19-10-2013 Watched this for the second time, in preparation for Iron Man 3. Nice movie with a lot of high science action. If only the world had a power source like that. Jeff Bridges as bad guy and Gwyneth Paltrow as Miss Moneypenny -I mean Pepper Potts- are a good casting choice, not forgetting Robert Downey Jr. Lot's of flaws in the physics but not too disturbing.

Must be the fifth time I saw this movie and every time it grabs me. The music is great, as is the acting of Jean-Hugues Angkade (Eric), Eric Stolz (Zed) and of course Julie Delpy (Zoe, after whom I named one of my cats btw).
The movie starts with a ride trough paris. One of the few movies I watch till the end of the credits, because of the great music.
Movie is in two parts, of which the former part shows us Paris throug the eyes of a group of high, stoned, drunk and horny criminals. The latter part takes us to a bankrobbery which didn't went as planed. They are rich, but trapped in the bank.
Nice detail is that they don't just blow the vault open, but they do it in quit a realistic way. Weakness is the opening between the two vaults, that would never be the case in any bank.
I still don't understand the rather poor rating on IMDB. Tis movie is briliant, obviously influenced by Tarentino's directing.

Robert D. Jr, one of my favorite actors since I mid 90's first saw him in in one of his best roles playing Caplin. Here, as Sherlock Holmes he fights evil in the form of Prof. Moriarty. He plots to start a world war so he can sell his stock of weapons and other military stuff. Off course he doesn't succeed. In the proces of defeating Moriarty, Sherlock turns out to have great fighting skills, a good sense of humor and a briliant eye for detail, all as credible as .... well.... something not quite credible.
